Our tree

So at lunch I sat in the middle of July and Nick. The people that sit at our table is July,Nick,Jane,Lilly,and me. Well Cali usually sits with us but not right now. "So what's up with Cali She's sitting with Jake and his group." Says Jane. I give her a glare. Then she backs down and says "sorry." "She and I are done." He says. As he says that Cali is walking over here. "I hope this doesn't bother you Nick I'm just really happy with him." She says staring back at him. "So you were never happy with me?" He says as he stands up and bangs his fists on the table. "Nick-" she says before being cut off by him. "Don't talk to me." He says as he runs out. We all chase after him even Cali. Then I stop. "Cali don't just don't. You hurt him. So go be happy with your new boyfriend and stay with him." I say starting to get upset. Then we all run out. "Let's split up I'll go in the woods and y'all go look somewhere else." I say knowing exactly where he is. As I arrive at the tree. No our tree I see him with his head buried in his lap. As I sit next to him I can hear sniffles. "She's a jerk that's all she is." I say as calm as possible. "Yeah she's pretty good at being one too." He says with a small chuckle. "I remember this tree. Our secret tree." I say calmly while staring at it. I stand up and walk to the other side to see the carving. It has a big heart with the carved letters N+H. We were so little when we found this tree. Then he walks around and stands next to me. "I wonder if it remembers our secrets?" He says. "Well every time we pay a visit to this tree that is the gift is for the secrets." I say. "Well do you have any secrets?" He asks. "Yeah I do actually." I say. "Okay you start." He says. "Well umm I've kind of well had this thing where I had a crush on you since well forever." I say stuttering sometimes. "Oh that's funny." He says surprised. "How is that funny" I ask sad. "Because I like you to."he says
