April entered the shelter with the manager Ms. Cobbs. She followed closely behind her into her office which was located on the lower level of the building.

The manager told her to have a seat and to explain her side of things. While they were in conference, April made it clear she was innocent and Anna started the fight. She explained that she had no where else to live. As Ms.Cobbs went over the policies and shelter rules April fell to her knees.

"Please let me stay here a little while longer" she cried; but the manager could not let her stay with the kind accusations made against her. She was now under investigation.

"I'll give you an half hour to gather up your belongings and then you have to leave the building" Cobbs informed.

Ms.Cobbs followed April upstairs into the room in which she slept so that she could help her gather up her items.

Anna stood close by listening to their every word.

Anna then peep down the hall. Tommy whispered "mom please let the police handle this" but it was like talking to a brick wall. "There is no justice with the police Tommy" she replied.

The pain she felt had overtaken her. "My son was raped and the police didn't listen" she mumbled.

"Please mom, please calm down" Tommy asked but when Anna had a clear path she tip-toed pass April's room, rushed downstairs to the kitchen, and grabbed a knife.

"Father forgive me for what i am about to do" she prayed.

Anna stood outside behind a bush and quietly waited for April's departure. She could hear the other residents who had no knowledge of what happen wishing April well.

Ms. Cobbs paid for April's cab and waited with her for the cab to arrive. There was no way she could leave her by herself after what had occurred. April looked at Ms. Cobbs and apologized for her behavior and hoped she'd change her mind about letting her stay.

A few seconds later the phone rang and it was officer McKinney questioning Ms.Cobbs about the incident. She told him everything she knew about the situation before hanging up. She had wondered why April wasn't in jail for such accusations.

She walked to the front door and asked April to be truthful with her. "Did you rape him"? April again replied "No" I wouldn't do such a thing"

When Ms.Cobbs noticed Tommy standing at the top of the staircase. She approached him and asked his side of the story. He was so nervous that he began to sweat. She asked him again, "what happen to you" and Tommy walked away.

(Beep, beep, beep)

The cab had finally arrived and it was time for April to leave. Anna still standing behind the bush made herself ready to attack April.

April walked outside and took a couple bags to the car but when she went back for her 30 inch tv she saw Anna running toward her with the knife in hand.

"Ms.Cobbs".... April called.

Anna stabbed April in her arm twice before April snatched the knife away from her. Scared for her life she knocked Anna down stabbing her a numerous times in her stomach.

"What the fuck is going on"? The cab driver screamed. In a hurry he called the police and waited for them to arrive, Scared for his life he stayed inside of his car.

Tommy ran toward the fight screaming for his mother but Ms. Cobbs knocked him down trying to distract him and save his mother. " Come and get Tommy" she yelled out to a woman who lived in the shelter. The woman ran to Tommy, picked him up, and carried him back into the building. Ms. Cobbs was able to stopped April but it was to late.

Anna plan backfired and she was dead.

Several police cars arrived to the crime scene; they immediately handcuffed April and put her in the backseat of the police car.

The paramedics arrived shortly after. They tried to revive Anna but they couldn't.

Tommy screeched so loudly he could've waking up the entire town. He kicked the door open and ran to his mother rescue.

"MOM WAKE UP!!!" Get up" Tommy yelled. "Please don't leave me" he whispered while kissing her on her forehead. "Get off of this stretcher" he yelled but Anna did not move.

"Please don't leave me" he cried.

He looked up to the sky and yelled out "Is this what you want for me; for my life"?

At that very moment Ms.Cobbs knew the accusations were true.
