All but one decision
Begins the race.
And the only thing that matters
Is first place.You participate
Accepting the cost
Fully knowing
That your humanity will be lost.People pull each other back
For that taste of victory
Just for that second
There is no morality. And for that one little bit
I am the champion.
It's nothing like I've ever experienced
Or will ever again. And then after the bliss,
Reality hits.
A surprise from behind
Brings me back where darkness sits.Even when I am last,
People will still hurt me because they can.
They're already in front, yet they hurt me
Just to say they can. There is no compassion.
Have we lost all morality?
It seems like anyone will do anything
For that taste of victory.(Btw the title of this poem is The Costs of Playing Mariokart.)
