It was a 3 on 3 battle against Sawyer and his pokemon as Sheldon and Clawzier fainted. He trusted his first pokemon he got, Treecko who evolved all the way to Septile. Ash chose Greninja all tho Septile has the type advantage which Ash does not care about at all. Septile used a mighty leaf blade and before Ash could tell Greninja to use a move Septile hit him in a stroung leaf strom which made Greninja traped and weak. As the leaf strom died down Greninja fell to the ground in pain which made Ash feel very bad. But then he yelled at Greninja " I KNOW YOU CAN GET UP!" then a mega amount of water srounded Greninja and flashing lights blinded the battle feild. As Ash said to use water shuriken on Septile as it hit and caused major damage as Sawyer looked at Septile WHO HAS FAINTED!!! Greninja went back to normal as Sawyer returned Septile then ask Ash many questions. But there was one that caught his attention which was " how did greninja mega evolve!?" which left Serena, Bonnie, Clement, and Ash breath-less.
