Prologue

The fourteenth of February would be a very significant day if a) I was so very much in love and b) I had a boyfriend.

Sadly, and fortunately, I am none of the above.

So tomorrow is Valentine's Day, and I don't give a damn shit about it.

"Olivia pass me the tissue please huhuhuhuhu" sabi ni Zyra habang patuloy pa rin ang pagtulo ng mga luha niya.

Tonight is just one of our usual sleep overs. The girls wanted to have a girls' night out since tomorrow is Valentine's Day. I don't know the logic behind that but I cannot do anything about it. Silang tatlo na ang nagsabi and so what can I do about it?

France and Lauren even have boyfriends. I'm pretty sure Bret and Jude are taking them out on a date tomorrow. The reason why they are here? I do not know.

"Olivia, tissue!" sabi naman ni France

Inabot ko sa kanila iyong tissue sa tabi ko at binaling ang tingin ko sa ng flat screen TV sa harap.

I watched as Mia's loved ones become miserable seeing her on that hospital bed.

Right.

Iyak nang iyak silang tatlo sa panonood kahit na napanood na namin ito sa panghindi ko na alam na beses.

Pagkatapos noong movie ay kung ano ano na ang ginawa namin. France brought out all of my nail polishes and she and Laur started to paint their nails as I started to scan the Candy Mag I bought.

"Via, why did you do it?" sabi ni France

"Did what?" I flipped another page.

"Reject Ashton" sabi naman ni Lauren

Now I think I know the reason why they wanted me to conduct this sleepover.

"Via, Ashton is hot. Can't you see that? And he's been having a thing on you for so long. Give the hottie a chance!" sabi ni Zyra habang may kung anong kinukuskos sa sketch pad niya. She's probably sketching dresses again.

Ashton is a senior of CIA. He's courting me for so long now despite the rejections I constantly give him. I know I'm being ruthless but ayoko lang talagang magpaasa.

Ash invited me to prom but I rejected him. I know I wasted his efforts but I just really wanted him to give up on me. Marami nang kumakalat sa CIA na rumors about me being a heartless bitch. Maraming naiinggit sapagkat kaunti lang ang mga iniimbitahang Grade 10 para sumama sa prom and I rejected an offer, especially from Ash who by the way is the basketball team's captain.

"I don't like him you guys. Ayaw kong magpaasa and I am feeling that he just wants the chase, the challenge. I'm just a challenge for him. And besides, you like him France, right?" sabi ko kay France

France always had a thing for Ashton despite of her having a boyfriend. She's like the playgirl type in our group, but always cries over break ups even if she was the one who keeps on dumping men. Crazy Girl. She's the type of girl who likes sporty bad boys. I don't even know what she sees in them. Bad boys are overrated.
