* Evan's P.O.V *

As I speed through the long winding country roads , the autumn breeze brushed passed my body and travelled through my thick brown hair. I looked down towards the radio as I go to change gear , realizing the time in which I had actually been driving.

I have planned this return for over half a year , and I've been driving back for almost 2 days including pit stops along the way. Many thoughts have been troubling me recently , mainly thoughts of self-preservation. However I gave my word to my brother that we would return home when we were needed , and now that time has come.

In the distance I can vividly see my home , it looks just the same as it did 100 years ago. The closer I got the more the feeling of self-preservation was washed out by warmth and reassurance.

As I drove up the driveway I remember the exact moments frame by frame from when I left , it replayed over and over in my head. The car came to a hault , as it stopped right by the steps that led up to home. Suddenly a cold shiver came upon me , causing me to tremble a little.

" EVAN ! " a younger persons voice screamed out.

I slammed the car door shut and turn around to see my little sister Mya racing down the steps. Suddenly I find myself running up them to get to her faster. Finally I was an inch away from her and without thinking I picked her up and hugged her tightly, remembering  how much my family meant to me and how much I actually missed them.

" Glad to see you decided to return Mr.Ahearn "

I pulled away from the hug and came to my feet. I looked up to see our house butler , he stood with a huge smile.

" Its just Evan " I half smiled while holding out my hand for him to shake.

He took the offer , and shook my hand firmly. Finally , a familiar face , haven't seen one of them in a long time. I followed him as he lead me and my sister into the castle. The moment my body entered back into the doorway , I remembered everything.. every birthday , Christmas , smile and best of all every positive feeling I had ever felt.

Nothing had changed , all the little details where precisely how I remember. For instance the smell of cinnamon and vanilla still linger , the classic wooden floor boards and the huge chandelier that hung in the centre of the entrance hall.

Finally I have returned.
