Rising Of The Dead

Chapter One

Feeling the vibrations of my phone near me, I drowsily reach for it and answer the call just to have Celeste my coworker and BFF yell in my ear.
"Where the hell are you Taylor!! You're supposed to be here in 10 minutes!! Are you even out of your bed yet!! "

Hearing that I jump off the bed just to get my legs tangled in the blankets and face plant on the floor. Checking the time I see that I over slept again and have barely 15 minutes to get to work. Skipping a shower I quickly pull on some black skinny jeans and a gray of the shoulder shirt. I run towards my closet and grab my gray distressed plaid vans and my leather jacket just barely grabbing my purse before rushing out the door.

I make my way running throughout the people apologizing along the way and make it to the store just before 9. Quickly stepping behind the counter and putting my apron on taking peoples orders.

"Don't think I didn't see you just come in right now!! You're late one more time me and that would be the end of you!! Do you hear me!!? The end!! "

Throwing him a sweet smile I go back to taking orders while the manager goes to back to the office.

The rest of my time shift goes by without anymore trouble beside a spilled coffee. As I'm making my way home I stop just I'm time to avoid being run over by a speeding car. Shakily I stop daydreaming and quickly make my way home before something else happens.

After taking a refreshing bath and changing into black ripped skinny and a black button up along with my vans and leather jacket I start making myself some ramen noodles while listening to BTS. Jamming to the song I text Celeste to see if she is ready to go.

'Yo bro are you ready to go? We have to be there in an hour. '

'😓 I'm trying I'll be done by the time you get here. '

'Cool. Hey do you have a map of the place though? 😐'

'Yea, unlike you I have my things organized 😋'

'Shut up! They're organized!.... To some extent... 😅'

Putting my phone down I finish my yummy noodles and make my way to my car making sure I have my wallet and phone with me. I plug my phone to the aux blasting my own music, loud. After a few minutes I pull into Celeste's house and honk the horn.

After a minute she comes out running toward the car and gets in wearing jeans and a 5sos garnet shirt.

It still amazes me to this day that we became friends even though we are polar opposites. She's day, I'm night. I'm punk she's preppy the only thing we have in common is our love for kpop. Especially Seventeen and Got7.

"Turning towards me we start chatting about the school getting excited about our trip there. "I'm so happy we're able to go to this school!! "

"I know right!! It's soo freaking cool!!! "

"Bro I heard they had an anime and kpop dance club. "

"We should definitely join the anime club but we're not good at dancing. "

We finish our conversation as we get to the parking lot of the school and get out. I look around and see many people roaming around, especially nerds with their stereotypical glasses, suspenders, and over sized book bags. Laughing to myself in disbelief since I didn't think I would see them in real life just in movies and books. Its amazing they actually exist. They are just roaming around like mindless zombies. We make our way to the auditorium where the freshmen orientation is supposed to be held.

After what felt like hours it finally ends and we start walking around exploring the whole place before we start getting hungry and go get lunch at the cafeteria. We had barely been sitting down for like ten minutes when things started getting bad really quickly. The nerds from earlier were coming into the cafeteria. At first I thought nothing of it and ignored them since it might be that they are hungry and its the cafeteria and they had a right to get food, but then the screams started appearing.The first one came from the table near the door that the nerds came in thru and my head shoots up looking alarmed. Smacking Celeste's arm to get her attention I point at them and we just stared in horrified silence at the scene in front of us.
