Edward's True Mate

Chapter 3

-FLASHBACK-

(Elise and I were to be wedded) Edward was wondering if he was dreaming (It feels right).

She felt real: so delicate and soft. She was here. In front of him.

(A True Mate will always have a direct pull to each other) Edward's Inner Vampire communicating with him.

Her father headed back the way he came.

"What happened in the past?" Edward "Am I in the past?"

--Midnight--Present--

Rosalie and Emmett were going hunting with Carlisle.

"Hey Pops! I'm surprised you wanted to join us." Emmett laughed.

Carlisle smiled at Emmett's remark, "I like having fun every bit as the next person."

The three were running about and preparing to hunt. They were passing the hikers' trail when they abruptly came to a full stop.

The three began to growl vehemently.

"I would know that bitch's scent any where!" Rose hollered and took off running "She better not be after my Little Sister!"

Carlisle and Emmett ran after Rose. Bella's scent leading them to the Suburbs.

The trail ran straight to an address of a small house. Just as they got to the house, they entered through the open back window.

Quietly they entered. Elise's scent was all over. No other scents were here recently.

-Vampire mode-

Rose was the first to get there.

=Rose=

(That bitch is messing with the wrong Blonde!)

Rose listening she could hear Emmett and her father arrive outside, but no other. (No human heart. No smell of blood? I know this is my Little Sister's house, but her scent is a bit old. Bella's scent is near...)

Rose stalked to the back room that had Elise's scent the strongest...and opened the door.

Carlisle - A bit back running to the house

((We knew that child was going to cause trouble.)) Volturi Lord

(Perhaps, but I was hoping to resolve this while sparing her.) Carlisle

((Don't be foolish Doc. We may have to do away with her. As Head of Family you must take responsibility or I will. Our Daughter Elise needs the protection now.)) Volturi Lord

(...Agreed) Carlisle running around back heading to the bedroom window.

Emmett -Almost at the house

(If she pissed off my Rosie I'll rip her apart! If there's anything left once Rose gets through with her.)

-Edward Past-

The full moon shone brightly over head over the trees. Edward jumped down softly so as to not scare Elise. At the moment neither of his young beautiful Mates knew his family's secret.

Suddenly as he looked at this beautiful woman, within him he could feel a change. There was a urgent need and desire to be near her. A burst of energy coming from within him.

Edward silently crept closer. It had only been a minute since her father had begun to head out.

Once he was beginning to be out of hearing distance her father was stopped by a human: Edward Masen.

Edward lept high into the trees and witnessed his younger self talking to Elise's father.

His human self smiled and went to his Beloved and gave a rose to Elise. He kissed her hand and the pair began their rendezvous.

Edward witnessed them walking in the park. Though he was in the trees at a far distance; his eyes were sharp and keen, as well as his hearing. His younger human half caressed her chin, and gently tucked a golden strand behind her ear, and stole a kiss.

...

Edward was sensing the energy gather within him, his whole body tingled, and his body began to vanish.

When he came to, he was in a bedroom.

(Am I back home?) Edward looked around the room

His phone clicked back on and showed the right date.

(This scent...) Edward moaned slightly (Everything here is bathed in Elise's scent Sweet scent of mixed berries and spice).

Edward walked over and sat down on her bed. The room was dark, but gave off a comfortable home feeling. It was then, for the first time since he existed, he felt exhausted. Laying down on the queen size bed, he turned to his side away from the window. He took in her scent on her pillow.

Closing his eyes, he rested, while being bathed in her scent. His hearing was acute. He didn't truly fall asleep, but he was as close as he could be. His heart was at peace.

-Five minutes later -

Through the open window, Edward was attacked! He was thrown across the room! Being quicker than the attacker, Edward rammed the offender against the wall!

Edward ripped off an arm, there was a shattering scream.

The bedroom door flung open and there stood Rosalie, Emmett, and through the window, his father Carlisle.

Edward's eye's opened wide as he snarled "Bella!"
