While my hair was still blonde,

I played about with my imagination.

You came by asking for my brother.

Instead you played wizards with me.

As the years went on, so did our friendship.

At eleven our directions changed and

I no longer thought of you.

Seeing you at school was like seeing memories,

Flying about in front of my face.

At thirteen my stomach fluttered.

I would look at you and my heart would smile.

Forever, and forever, and forever;

Oh how I wanted to be yours.

At fifteen you changed your mind.

You went on with your life,

And never did you look back.

The couples all around made love look sorrowful.

You would never look me in the eye.

By now you have moved on with my best friend.

Everyone had found love.

Even you.

I have long since aged.

But the pain remains the same.

Say you were to ever come around,

Where our history lies,

I won't be there to meet you with sorrow in my eyes.
