April 30th
I stared at Silvia trying to believe what was coming out of her mouth. Magic in this world? There was no way, but how else would you explain what happened a half an hour ago? I was making assumptions. I was getting ahead of myself, so I decided to let Silvia finish. She placed her hand on her chest then pointed to the boys. "Yes, magic. I can weld it, Logan can weld it and so can Blake." "So, you guys can weld magic." I queried. Everyone nodded then Silvia continued.
"Logan has solar absorption, that means he uses solar energy to his ability. Blake has Molecular Acceleration. He can take the energy stored in an object and convert it to kinetic energy before charge it towards any given target. I can convert my skin to become a diamond-like substance that makes me nearly unbreakable. With that, I am able to create telepathic illusions." She stopped to stare my reaction and how I was taking all of the information. I wasn't taking any of the information. I didn't believe it and I didn't want to believe it. This is nonsense.
I slowly nodded and I waited for her to continue. "But you, you possess the same power as me. Well not the diamond-skin, but the telepathic illusions. Your power is much more advanced. You can create weaponry, create a shield and pretty much disintegrate anyone just by thinking about it." She explained. I cringe as her words processed in my ears. I squinted at her trying to find reason behind what she was saying. I shook my head as I crossed my legs over one another. "You've lost it now" "Please listen to what I am saying. In order for the Warrior to protect you while you were younger she had a lock placed on your powers. Once this was done you were protected from everyone around you and also yourself. The world viewed you as a dangerous weapon. Everyone became locked under the image of Achlys and that was when we realize it was too late." She stop speaking as she let out a shaky breath. She nodded as she rubbed her hands together. "But, I can't explain everything. Like I said before, it's not my story to tell."
"Okay, let's imagine all of this is real. How did that Wolkie know about the diary." I quizzed. "You see that's something I can't come to terms with myself. There was a blockage placed on the book so that no one would be able to find where it is." She explained, causing my head to drop and my eyes to close. "I think I may have something to do with that." I softly said. "What do you mean?" She inquired. My voice became caught in my throat as I opened my mouth to speak. I stared at everyone in the room as they looked back at me. "Last night, I might have been reading the diary and tried to turn the page that had the blockage on it. But, that as the last thing I remember before waking up this morning." I recounted.
"Did you manage to turn the page?" She asked with an arched eyebrow. "I don't remember." I softly said causing her to let out a breath. She rubbed her hand over her face before looking up at Logan who was staring down at her with a sad look. "It's the only way to find out." He softly said. "What do you mean?" I asked making them both look towards me. They gave me sympathetic eyes and a half smile making me think that there was more to the story then they were telling me. Finally, after a long silence, Blake stepped forward to give his input. "In order for us to find out if you are what caused the Wolkie to locate the book, we have to open it. But, we don't know if opening it will make more Wolkie appear." Blake said from across the room as he continued to stand with his arms crossed over his chest.
"I'm the cause of this? Why would I cause this?" I questioned. "You are the only one that is powerful enough to overrule Leyla's blockage," Logan explained. "But, how is that possible? What makes me so special?" I asked. "Everything, Arabella. We just need to show you." She said as she held the diary in front of both of us. She grabbed the cover of the book but didn't open it. She stared at it and let out a shaky breath. What was holding her back? Why was she so nervous. As if reading my mind, she answered my question on cue. "I know that opening this book will lead to more Wolkies coming for us." She mumbled without taking her eyes off the book. I didn't say anything to her, I didn't know what to say. All her fear was based on this book, and I wanted to know why.
