Madison stood behind the stove stirring a pot of Tomato Soup for her dinner. Ella was sleeping on the couch with Dora playing on the T.V. Madison grabbed two bowls from the high shelf and placed them on the table and filled them up with soup. Placing one in the microwave to keep warm. She walked into the living room and saw her little sister asleep. She quickly grabbed the remote and turned on The News. 'The high for today is 87° F.' And the low? Madison said to herself. 'The low for today is 75° F.' "Spring weather. So confusing!" She hissed at the News Lady, as though she could hear her. "Madi? What for luch?" Ella asked. Maddison smiled the cuteness and happiness of a four year old overwhelmed her with joy. "It's lunch, silly girl. And it's Tomato Soup. Want some?" Ella nodded. "Mato Toop! Yay! I want Mato Toop!!" Madison grabbed the bowl of soup from the microwave and grabbed a baby spoon from the dishwasher and gave it to her sister. "On the floor, incase you spill it." Madison said with a calm, mother-like voice. Madison always had a calm tone. She knew she needed to be an example for Ella. She had to be the mother figure for her 4 year old sis. Just 14 and already had a full time job of taking care of her own sister. She had to make money and somehow make it through school. She managed to get through it.
