Chara is not a demon. She is like a ghost. I believe that Chara was abused on the surface. The faded ribbon says," If your cuter, monsters won't hit you as hard." Chara possibly tried to commit suicide by jumping into Mt. ebbot. She ended up having a nice family!! I also believe that she did not mean to poison Asgore . As some charactars state, they laugh so they won't be sad. When Asriel stated that Chara laughed when she found out that they accidentally poisoned Asgore. She might of ate the poison error buttercups so she didn't have to cry. She then died. When she had Asriel return to the surface, I think that she told Asriel to fight so that he wouldn't get hurt. I also believe that Chara is NOT the true villain of Undertale. Who decides to kill everyone? Who says that everyone should die? THE PLAYER!! Chara is influenced that it is right to kill. At the end of the genocide run, if you say not to erase Chara is confused. You just went through the entire game killing everything; and now you say that you don't want to erase the world?! I would be confused, too! So yeah, take this into account when you are saying "Oh Chara is the villian" Cause she isn't. It is you. The player. Thanks and have a nice day.
