*Five Months Later*
OH. MY. GOD.
"OHMG, CER!!! JASE!!! GET IN HERE!" I yell loudly.
"What, babe?" Cer asked tiredly while walking in. Jase was following directly behind him.
It was 10 PM and they had just finished a show so they were all beat. We had all gotten ready for bed and were just kind of hanging out for a little before going to bed, I had decided to check my email and nothing could have prepared me for what had awaited me when I opened Psycho's email.
"Listen to this!
Dear Psychotics,
You three have the attracted the attention of many, including us. We are very aware that you three are on tour currently, but we have a request. As you may know, the BillBoard Music Awards are in 3 months and we have started planning the performers and announcers. This is why we are contacting you. You are such big hits, we were wondering if you'd like to perform.
We would pay for the tickets to the show, and would provide tickets for your families as well. All you have to do is choose a spiffy outfit, a song, instruments (we will provide the drum set if need be), and the transportation. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. We hope you choose to do this and that we hear back from you.
Thank you,
The BBMA's Planning Commitee 2015..."
"Oh. My. God. We were invited to perform at the BBMA's!!!!! Yes! I'm so happy! Ahhhhhh!" Jase squealed. Yes, squealed.
"I have to answer back!" I gasp.
I instantly open up a new email box and type an email.
Dear BBMA's Planning Commitee 2015,
I apologize for not answering sooner as we were doing a show in Chicago. Psychotics would most definitely love to perform at the BBMA's, that would be such an honor. I'm sure we could handle clothing, music and transportation as long as we have the information for where it's at and what kind of stage we would be practicing on.
Also, would we have time to practice on the stage before the BBMA's come around? There is much to plan, but we definitely accept your invite.
Love,
Psychotics.
"Think that's good enough?" I asked Cer who was reading it over my shoulder.
"Yeah, I think so. What about you Jase?" He replied.
"It sounds fine to me."
So I pressed send.
This is so crazy. We went from performing covers on YouTube to publishing our own music to being offered to perform at a world-wide music awards ceremony. Holy crap.
It took forever to sleep that night.
~~~~~~~
I woke up to a new email from the Commitee.
Dear Psychotics,
We are so excited to have you here for the show! We can't wait.
To answer your questions, the awards will be held in Hollywood, California on May 16th (random date). They stage is a 50 foot by 75 foot stage with a view of the entire audience and a branch off so you can stand in the front of the crowd.
We can plan for days for you to come in to use the stage. We have to plan for the days ahead because other performers have to practice for their performance as well. Your tour has one more place to stop in two days before it's over, if I'm not mistaken, so we could have you come on Friday (it's Monday) through Sunday to practice then. We could also give you the week right before the night of the BBMA's to refresh it if you wish.
