NICOLE LIGHTWOOD was apart of the hale family. Not at first, at least. She was the broken one, the lonely one, she was the forgotten one. She spent her childhood days locked up in her room reading, drawing, and sometimes exercising. Until one night, her gums started ache, her head started pound, her fingers became numb and all she could see was red.She didn't know what was happening. She was confused and scared, but overall, angry. She didn't even know why she was angry just was. She could feel her pulse rising, making her cower into a corner, breaking a few items in the process. Her parents rushed in seeing her struggle with herself. Her father ushered her mom— his wife— to call the only person he knew that could help contain her.
Talia Hale
She watched in shock as her dad's eyes glowed a bright red. He was like her and she couldn't believe it. He started to chain Nicole up but she back away as her pulse began to increase.
"You're not chaining me up like a dog!" She snapped, slapping his hands away from her.
Her fathers eyes widen as she growled at him. He started to slowly back away with his hands up. "Niki, calm down. You need to control it or you'll end up doing something you'll regret."
She growled, annoyed by the sound of his voice. All she could picture his body laying there dead. She wanted to feel his blood flowing through his fingers. She wanted his power. She lunged at him, swinging her arms. She didn't know what she was doing. It was like her body was in control instead of her. She wasn't in control. And she needed to be in control.
Soon enough she felt a thick substance cover her palms. She laughed hysterically at the sudden surge of energy and power rushing through her. Loud footsteps rang through her ears. A painful scream came from her mother's mouth as she stared at her husbands— her mates' body lying on the floor, lifeless. Her mother's eyes also glowed a bright red as her fangs grew from her gums and claws grew from her nails.
Her mother roared loudly at her daughter before lunging at her. But Nicole was somehow faster. Before she knew it, her hand was plunged into her mother's chest before retracting it, holding her heart in her bloody hands.
Nicole's eyes caught the sight of a mirror. She stared in horror as the once was the face an eleven year old girl, morphed into the face of a wolf with now red eyes before returning back to its normal state. She was too focused on the fact that her parents were lying dead on the floor to notice her aunt and cousin come in. Laura had dragged her out by her arms while Peter and Talia grabbed the bodies. Nicole noticed them running into the woods, so she follow and soon came up to a big house. Peter buried the bodies with wolfsbane around it as Talia ushered Nicole into the bathroom to get cleaned up.
"I killed them," She sobbed. Nicole sat in the bathtub full of water. Talia heard her wailing from outside and she quickly walked in the bathroom.
Talia sighed. "This isn't your fault. You didn't have control. But now you're an alpha and I'm here to teach you." And she did every second of everyday she taught her not only about control and about anchors, she taught her how to fight like an Alpha and how to be one.
