Ch 7

Since the other day which I 'spoke' with Lily, she hasn't tried to interact with me. Even when I was with Katrina, no sign of her.

But there are many signs of Josh nowadays. Yes, we started to hang put a lot more after that other day. And everytime we are together, I start to like him even more.

In such little time, I've learned so much about him; he lives with his parent and his two little brothers, hes plays football and lacrosse- even though he's a newbie at school, and he plays drums.

Yet what I haven't learned is the whereabouts or whatabouts of the thing that attacked me the other night; the thing Lily, who cant even bother to interact with me, tried to warn me about.

But what is it? I've never actually seen it before. How ironic, something wants to kill me and I have no clue what it is.

Getting so caught up in my thoughts, I didn't notice Josh was talking to me as we head to lunch.

"Um... Veronica?" Josh asks, snapping me out of my daze.

"Want to hangout?"

"What?"

"You know do something, we can watch a movie or we can go racing, anything."

He sends me a quizzical look, "Sure, I guess."

I grab his hand, "Cool, lets go!"

"Wait what? You want to skip?"

"Come on, let loose, it's not like you have practice after school and we have study hall after this so we'll be back in time. Please?"

After rolling his eyes, he finally budges.

So far, the day was SO fun. First, we went to eat out and then have ice cream for dessert. Then, we went to an arcade/go karting amusement park. To end the day, went to my house to watch a movie. So much for school right?

"So what do you want to watch?" I ask him.

"Do you have something scary?" he questions

I check my movies and pull out The Purge. Before sitting next to Josh on the couch, I make us some popcorn. Let the games begin.

In general, the movie wasn't that scary, but there's this one jump scare that always gets me.

Bam, again the jump scare!

"Oh shit!" I scream, flailing my arms in the air and grabbing the first thing, Josh

Our breaths become kind of heavy as out chest lean against each other.

A sort of magnetic connection pulls our lips closer to each other. Yet right before out lips would touch, my phone began to ring.

Oh my God! I was this close to kissing him and someone I dont know- unknown caller ID- had to ruin the moment. I swear whoever it is better have a good excuse.

"Hello?" I groan.

"VERONICA!" they bellow out.

"Yes, who is this?"

"It's Lily."

Oh, so now she wants to talk.

Ok so I am SOOOOOOOO sorry that I havent updated in such a long time.
I came back from vacation not so long ago and then as I edited this chapter i hated it so i had to rewrite the whole thing.

So on my vacation, I missed the one month anniversary with the book. YAAAY! It's already been this long.

Yet, I've noticed that the last chapter has only about 70 reads while the other have 150+
...

But on a lighter note, OMG WE HAVE 1k READS!!! AHHH!! HOW DID THIS HAPPEN!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT LIKE SOMEONE SLAP ME!!! Ok, nah I'm just playing.

But again I want to say sorry for the slow updates and I swear that they will be wayyy quicker.
