So went to the riverton parade yesterday and got this idea for a zanvis oneshot.
"So... What is this thing we are going to again?" Zane asked carrying a cooler they brought filled with water bottles and other snacks while Travis carried chairs and an umbrella. They had been walking for thirty minutes walking passed other people with small children. Travis finally found an open spot in front of an old preschool looking building. The parking lot connected to a secluded neighborhood and the walls of the building had plants growing all over them.
Travis laid down their stuff and set up the chairs. When he was all finished he signaled for Zane to sit next to him. He came over and put the cooler in front of their chairs. After a while Zane finally asked, "You never answered my question."
"Oh! Sorry what was it?"
"Why are we here?"
"Oh, We are here for the riverton parade.(I toke some liberties here OK.) it is the largest parade before the fourth of July."
"Sure...." Zane said not sure of what to think of the situation. All he could think about is how hot it was and there was tons of children around making so much noise. He had always had very sensitive ears and thus didn't like going places with lots of people. He had never really told Travis, even though they had been dating for over a month now. He just never got the opportunity to tell him."When is it supposed to start?"
"After police bikes come and do a few tricks some trucks and fire engines followed by the police and parades will come."
"Huh..." He was thinking that it might be nice. Even when the bikes came it was quieter then he thought it might be.
"Hey.." Travis said grabbing Zane's attention. When he turned his head, he was greeted by Travis pulling down Zane's mask and giving his lips giving him a quick peck.
"T-TRAVIS!!"
"Heheh.. Your cute when your mad you know that right?" Zane pulled his mask back up and had a bright blush go across his face and he turned his head away from Travis. He was greeted by a little girl with red hair looking at him.
"Hi mister."
"Um... Hi..." Zane didn't really know how to talk with kids. "Um... where are your parents?"
"Not here. My mom is dead and my dad left before I was born." She somehow had a smile still plastered over her face.
"Well um.... Your very strong for someone who went through that." He really didn't know how to act around this kid. "W-What is your name?"
"Ivy. Whats yours?"
"Zane.."
"Why were you blushing Zane?"
"Well thats .. because... um..."
"Cause I kissed him." Travis said leaning over Zane.
"Oh. Are you two dating?"
"W-Well...um..you coul-"
"Yup." Travis said so bluntly. Popping his 'p'.
"Cool! Can I sit with you? Ive been walking for a good while to find a good spot."
"Sure!" Travis said letting Ivy get past and sit on the blanket they had in front of them. "Hey Ivy. Want to know something about Zane?"
"What?"
"This is his first parade."
"REALLY!?!?!" A blush due to embarrassment came across his face and he turned away. "Don't worry you will like it." Ivy said before turning back to the street.
