I sent you a love letter today
Written with your, well my, favorite pen
You'll have to excuse the smudges
You know I try and erase it with my handI folded the pages into thirds and
Scrawled your name across the top
I tried not to make it sappy
But once I began I couldn't stopI placed it in a bottle and
Pushed the cork on tight
I walked down to the clear blue lake
In the middle of the nightI watched it float in the water
Before the waves took it away
Here's hoping someone out there
Will read the words I had to say

YOU ARE READING
My hearts million words
PoetryI don't expect anyone to read this. I'm kind of hoping no one does. But they feel better on paper than in my fragile heart.
