"What do you mean, the original was bad enough?" Annabeth asked. They had returned to the place that the Demi-gods refer to the big house. "I mean, in 1998, the students of Hogwarts had to fight Voldemort. He was very hard and almost impossible to defeat," he explained. "I almost died and Ron and Hermione. And everyone else at Hogwarts at the time. Not to mention the hundreds of people who did die!" He finished. He didn't want to think about it much more.
They all sat quietly. Either felling sorry or planning. Then finally Annabeth broke the silence. "We have been through the same thing," she said. "We have been in a battle against one of our own and a battle against the Earth itself. We beat the stinking EARTH, I think we can handle a scrawny little wizard and his army," Ron got up and slapped her. "My brother died fighting against Voldemort! You don't know anything about losses!" She slapped him back "You think YOU have had losses I lost probably more than a DOZEN brothers AND sisters and someone who grew to become my brother! This isn't just a camp, we are a family! Stop blaming us for your stinking losses!" This time Percy had to calm Annabeth down.
"We have all had great losses," Chiron said "But now we have to defeat the heir together!" That is when Annabeth broke. She started crying her eyes out and dug her face into Percy's chess. At this point it was about 4:00.
Annabeth took out a phone and called someone. When she answered she said "Hey Piper," pause "Yeah everything's fine," short pause "No, no. Listen, can you pick up Theo and Ally up from daycare?" Pause "I promise you everything's fine. Percy and I need to deal with something. Do you think you could watch them for a few days?" Long pause "I will pay you, just make sure they get to bed by 8:00 and Theo is allergic to kiwi," long pause "Thanks Pips," she hung up. "Okay, I'm good,"
"What are we going to do?" Percy asked. Annabeth still had tears rolling down her cheeks, so Percy had his arm around her in a side hug. She sat up. "What was so hard about stopping the original?" Hermione answered that question "His horcuxes," then decided to explain "He broke his soul into pieces after killing people, most people who have horcuxes have one, two at the most. He made seven. In order to defeat the person you need to find and destroy their horcux," she finished. "Do you think the Heir has any horcuxes?" Annabeth asked "I have no idea," Harry said.
