"Feel the wrath of my fist, Dan!"

"Not before you say hello to my KICK OF FURY! HYAAAAH!!"

"NOOOO!"

It was too late. Dan had knocked out Phil's Tekken 2 character, Paul. Game over.

"Aw man, I was so close! How do you always win at these games?"

"I don't ALWAYS win," Dan smirked. "Sometimes I let you succeed out of pity."

"Yeah right. I've had a few victorious moments."

"Compared to my hundreds of victorious moments?"

"Whatever. I'm gonna have some cereal."

"You better not eat my Frosted Flakes again you freak!"

"Too late! I'm already opening the box. I deserve some comforting breakfast food right now!"

"It's 10 P.M. you weirdo!"

"Stop food shaming me! I need this!"

"I guess it doesn't really matter," Dan thought, smiling. "He was bound to eat it at some point."

After Phil finished his bowl of flaky deliciousness, he emptied the remaining milk contents down the drain and headed back towards the living room.

"Well Dan, I'm getting kind of tired. I'm gonna head to bed now."

"Wow you're not going to try to avenge yourself? You must really care about this date you have tomorrow."

Yep, it was happening. The nerdy yet adorable Phil Lester was about to go on a date tomorrow with a girl he had been talking to for some time: Tabitha Green...who just so happened to be Dan's ex. Dan had been unbeknownst to this detail of Phil's relationship with her for quite awhile. He was told Phil's girl was named Mary and that she worked at a Merle Norman cosmetics store, but was never informed if her real name. Phil had been living with this secret for about 3 months now. Early on, he told himself he would continue to keep Tabitha somewhat hidden because 1. She had asked. And 2. He didn't want Dan to be upset about his decision to be with her. Phil had been told numerous times from Dan about how crazy she was, how she started ignoring him towards the end of their romance, and how she wasn't good for anybody. However, when Phil got to know her through social media, she didn't seem at all like Dan had described her to be. She was funny, smart, and beautiful. She had it all. So what was so bad about her? In the end, the YouTuber took a chance and fell in love with her, which led to their soon to be very first meeting in person at the local Starbucks.

"It is pretty important to me. We've only been communicating online. What if she doesn't like who I am in person?"

"Phil, if Mary doesn't care about who you truly are, then she's not worth it. Trust me."

"Thanks Dan. Good night."
"Night Phil."

As he began to settle in for the night, Phil suddenly received a text from Tabitha. It read: "Hey babe! I know it's sort of late, but I can barely wait to c u l8r! Ily!" Phil sighed with contentment. He texted back saying how excited he was to see her too, but refrained from saying I love you. For him, it was too early for it. There was chemistry between them, but not enough for those 3 words yet. He wanted to announce them at the right moment. Whether it be tomorrow or in a month or in a year, there would always be another time. He then turned off the light, embracing the darkness and eventually falling into sleep.
