10 year old Cinderella and Cameron
Cameron's POV:

I walked past my window to see Cindy sat on a tree, waving her hand in the air in attempt to catch my attention.

I walked backwards, turning towards my window slowly opening it.

"What are you doing in the rain, wearing a dress and sitting on a tree?" I asked as she flashed me a smile.

"Is that it? Also I'm in a raincoat." she rolled her eyes crossing her arms. "Well c'mon now!" she gestured for me to come over.

I quickly wore my raincoat and took a deep breath before starting to climb down my window.

I heard laughing as I looked down to see Cindy already down with crossed arms.

"What happened to your dress? It's wrecked." I eyed her as she looked down at her dress.

"Like me?" she muttered, beginning to walk.

"What?" I asked her as she shook her head.

"You know, just took a quick visit to wonderland!" she gave me a small smile before climbing the fence and getting on her bike.

Although Cindy was named after the Disney princess Cinderella, her life wasn't a fairytale.

Her parents always wanted her to be the perfect little girl. They'd try to dress her up in puffy dresses and Cindy hated it.

She loved adventure and fantasy which she hid from her parents. When she's around them, she's the perfect little girl that they wanted her to be. Elegant, serious, smart, sweet and humble.

But when she was around others like me, she was different. She was, funny, daring, clever, sneaky and courageous.

"Cameron!" Cindy called me, disrupting my thoughts. "Quit staring at me!" she laughed as I slowly felt myself and my bike tipping over.

"Oh uh, you good?" she asked, getting off her bike and helping me up, however, something was distracting her.

This is bad news.

"Oh no." she said.

I turned towards the direction she was facing. She then left me with our bikes, ran over to a box and knelt down.

"A puppy?" I asked, struggling with our bikes.

"A puppy and a message!" she corrected me with a smirk.

"This is blue, he's a husky mix turned one yesterday and that's all the important stuff." she put down the letter picking up Blue.

"Cindy, where are you gonna keep him?" I asked, glancing at Blue.

"No worries, my parents will think it's a total mature move." she said, nodding and placing Blue in the basket hung on her bike.

"Plus, today is the day we had our first adventure together, he could be our reward!" she smiled, getting on her bike.

"Yeah..." I sighed, following behind her.

We were now back in my house, drying off after being caught by my mom.

I sat next to Cindy as she stared into a space.

"Cam?" she asked as I hummed in response, placing Blue on her lap.

"Will things change when we grow older?" Cindy asked, resting her head on my shoulder.

"I don't know." I replied, returning her gesture.

"Can you promise me we'll stay buddies forever?" she asked, looking up at me.

"I'll always be your savior." I smiled at her.

"And I'll always be your...." she laughed. "Troublemaker or I could also be the death of you." she laughed harder.

"Anymore options?" I asked, scratching the back of my head.

She shook her head. "Nope."
