You wake up early next morning, thankful that you had enough time to pack a bag and get some cute clothes in time. Yesterday had been such a rush, running into the band "Ice Mountain" was fun, but you completely had lost track of the time. You don't regret it though, the feeling he gave you as you spoke brightens your day as you recall the sound of his voice. The way the band members interacted with each other was something you found humorous and quite adorable. It was a scene from right out of one of those corny movies where you wind up learning some lesson at the end, yet it was a scene that worked and you longed for. You begin to dress in casual attire due to the fact that you have to pick up your uniform at the school's office when you first arrive. So hopefully for those short moments before that, you get to make a statement. You tie your (insert hair color here) into a tight, high ponytail, letting your bangs fall against your face. You comb your bangs a bit so they don't look too messy, and let it shape your face making you look as if you had the face of a magazine model. You carefully slip your top on, a simple white tank top to tuck into the new skirt you just bought. It was (insert favorite color here), your absolute favorite color. You fixed the skirt by patting it down and making sure it wasn't raised too high up so it didn't show off your ass, you were more reserved than that but not to the point where you wanna hide every inch of your body. You put on your cardigan and leave it unbuttoned and slip on (either grey, white, or black depends on the color you chose) knee high socks and some cute Mary Jane shoes that you saw on sale. You hadn't wore Mary Jane's since primary school and were excited to find a pair again. You slip them on and grab your bag and head towards the kitchen. You smelt the crisp scent of bacon and the sweetness of pancakes. The sweet and savory scents filled the air and you sit down by a plate that had already been served for you with a note near it.

"Have a Dope day at school, sweetheart. Had an emergency at work. Love you and be safe!" the note said, it was from your mother. Your parents both worked. Your dad was always overseas for special meetings and your mom was one of the best at her job, so they were always calling her in. You didn't see them much but you knew they still loved you and tried their best to stay connected to you in any way they can. Even if it meant embarrassing themselves in writing a note using the word "dope" which they probably only heard being used in those reality shows that they play all the time. It was cringey but it was also sweet.

You start to eat the pancakes after pouring syrup on top of the fresh fruit your mom had just placed on the pancakes. Raspberries and blueberries covered in maple syrup tasted amazing to you. You then poured some syrup on the bacon, it was weird but you loved how the savory and sweetness mixed together and created an explosion of flavors in your mouth that tasted like heaven. It was never too sweet or salty, it was just right. You ate your breakfast and wiped your mouth, making sure to pick up and wash your plate after gulping down some milk to wash it all down. You clean your dish and any sticky mess you may have caused due to the leaky syrup cap and cleaned the table, putting everything away. Once you were done, you walked out the door, bag tossed over your shoulder and left the house after locking it and walking to school.

You're glad you woke up earlier than you planned, your mom was suppose to drive you there but like she said, she had an emergency. It was a distance, but a walk to burn off the calories you just finished. Scarfing down wasn't going to kill you. You keep walking and look at the scenery around you. The town you grew up in was nice, the neighborhood always sweet. You had friends from middle school but sadly most of them went to the other high school across town. You still had friends just not as many as you'd like on your first day of high school. You walk and walk until you reach the front gates of your new school. You took a deep breath as the scent of different flowers leapt into your nose. You walked to the front gates and entered, rummaging through your bag to get your schedule so you wouldn't have to deal with the crowd of kids who waited last minute to figure out where their class was. You keep rummaging through your bag as your eyes widen and realize you left it on the counter while you were cleaning up this morning. You sigh and deal with the herd of untamed freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are acting as if they were vultures diving into a corpse in the middle of a desert. You try and fight your way through the front as the pack of animal like students push and shove to see their class. You miraculously make it to the front and find your room number, quickly dodging everyone so you're not shoved back in, bolting through an opening you find and squeeze through it like prey hiding from its predator. You walk to your classroom and enter, realizing that the teacher hasn't arrived yet to hand out the uniforms or anything for that matter. You look around and see no familiar faces at all, great now you HAVE to make new friends. You take a seat near the front but not so close like the middle of the second row and wait for the teacher to show up as you unpack. You look up as you hear the door open and close and grin widely at the sight of your best friend entering.
