Chapter 2

I pay the taxi and step out of the back before looking up to the sun setting, I quickly smooth down my white and blue flowered dress and fix my brown belt in place then I starts walking. As I'm almost at the top I see Ben standing their in jeans, a shirt and a blazer; I almost run up the hill to him with a smile but when I get there I just wrap my arms around his neck and he pulls me close from my waist as I look into his eyes.

"Did you do everything you wanted?" I ask him

"Well I've started it I just need to finish it now." He says and he kisses me I think the best kiss he's ever given me just happened and as he pulls away he reaches into his pocket pulls out a small black box and kneels down on one knee as he opens it revealing a small silver ring with a small diamond.

"Oh god Ben!" I say as my hands go to my mouth covering it as my eyes go wide.

"Isabella we've been dating for five years now, since you where 20 and since I was 27, you've stuck with me and put up with me but out of all the things we've been through theirs never once been a breakup or a proposal except now." He says. "So Isabella Jessica Parker, will you marry me?" He asks and by this time I'm crying and no words can reach out of my mouth so as I nod in shock Ben laughs and stands up slipping the small ring onto my empty ring finger and he cups my face in his hands and kisses me.

After Ben and I have ate we're both just lying down on the blanket our body's pressed together as Ben has his arm around me.

"I can't believe I'm engaged." I say

"Well you are." He says

"I know to the most talented, thoughtful and loving man in the world." I say as I look over at him and he smiles showing his slight dimples and he takes his cigarette packet out of his pocket, the habit that I hate about him.

"Thanks." He says as he sits up and lights up his cigarette.

"Have you ever tried quitting?" I ask him

"I had no reason to." He says simply.

"Promise me something?" I ask him

"Anything." He says as he turns to look at me.

"The day I come home and say I'm pregnant that's the day your life changes and you stop." I say and he smiles.

"The day you say that is the day I become the happiest man on the world." He says and I smile and kiss his cheek.

"You in bed sounds nice right about now." I whisper seducedly in his ear and he chuckles deeply.

"Yeah sounds good." He says and he puts out his cigarette and pops a mint into his mouth and roles on top of me kissing my neck lightly teasing me as I run a hand through his hair and grip it firmer as he starts biting.

"Oh god Ben!" I moan and he pulls away and kisses my lips softly. "Ben not here." I mumble against his lips and he moans and roles off me.

"So we're going home then?" He asks and I laugh as I plant a kiss on his lips.

"Only if you hand me you're jacket I'm freezing." I say and he chuckles as we both sit up and he droops his jacket around my shoulders and brings me close to him.

"You know this is all going to be in the papers tomorrow?" He asks

"I know I saw the photographer down the hill as I was walking up." I whisper and he chuckles and I flash a quick smile at him then I stand up. "Let's go home before you're bombarded." I continue and I start to fold the blanket and Ben helps and as we come close he pecks my lips.
