A babysitter was downstairs with two young children, who were supposed to be watching a movie. They seemed to be looking at something else. Beside the television was a statue of a clown.
When she went to put the young boy and girl to sleep, the teenager started watching TV by herself. The clown statue in the corner of the room seemed to be staring right at her. She kept trying to ignore it, but it was so creepy and disturbing. She decided to cover it with a blanket and went to sleep. As she walked over to it, she got the strange feeling that it had moved ever so slightly.
She woke up the next morning to find the clown statue staring at her, smiling from ear to ear.
"Hello?" She said to the phone. "Everything's alright the children are still asleep."
"Oh," The father said. "What seems to be the problem?"
"Could I sleep downstairs on the couch?"
"Why is that?" The father asked.
"I know it sounds stupid, but the clown statue is creeping me out.
The phone went silent for a second.
"Listen." The father suddenly sounded really serious. "Call the police and get the children out of the house! NOW!"
"W- why?"
"Because we don't have a clown statue!"
The babysitter raced upstairs, grabbed the children and got them out of the house. Huddled outside on the sidewalk, comforting the children, the babysitter looked up and screamed.
The white painted face of a clown was looking at her through the window, only to be swallowed by the darkness.
The police came shortly after, and arrested a man who had been hiding in a clown suit, with a knife concealed in his suit.
He had been stalking the family for months, hiding in their attic and then sneaking around their house at night.
The children have complained earlier about a clown sitting in their bedrooms and watching them sleep, but the parents simply thought they were nightmares.
Author's note: Sorry if you have a clown statue in your house.
