I dedicated this chapter to janhavikhatri who encourage me even though I know I'm really bad. Go check out his book 'Sparkling Decorations Of Divine Night', it's a beautiful piece of art displayed in the perfect way :)

Scanning the name list, I found the owner of number 38.

Whitney Tyler

Hmm... a British girl?

I took out my exercise book and started scribbling.

"What are you doing?" Lyla plopped a chocolate biscuit into her mouth.

"I wanted to write my first impression before I actually get to know my royal subject. "

"How do you know whoever-that-is will be your royal subject? I think you are most likely to be his royal subject, seeing how weak you-"

"WAIT A MINUTE! Did you just said a he?"

All eyes turned towards me.

"Calm down. Can you not be so agitated?" shaking her head, she took out another chocolate biscuit. "Here, want some?"

"No time for food, sweetheart. I gotta go to our meeting room," I dashed out of the class.

Oh ya, I think I forget to mention, I'm the Secretary of the Student Council Board.

Scanning through the row of files on the top shelf, I found the right file with our class on it. I flipped through the pages and finally land on serial number 38.

Time to know your true identity, my subject.

"What are you doing?"

Turning my head, I just realised she was sitting there, all this time.

Aldelina, our honourable President.

"I'm really sorry Pres, I didn't know..."

"It's okay. Continue your work, Daniella." She went back to the book in her hands.

I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. Our President is just so elegant and noble. With pure Italian blood running in her veins, she really is gorgeous. 5 feet and 7 inches, slightly taller that the 5 feet 6 inches Lyla, and way taller than I am (I don't think I would like to mention my height). Unlike Lyla, which is a bit boyish in her own ways, Aldelina is constantly surrounded by a sophisticated aura. Rumors are that she had rejected dozens of guys which we have lost count. In my opinion, She's more like an Ice Queen than a Fire Fairy, and I try my best to avoid being in her presence.

I went back to the paper. A picture of a British boy, with blond hair and high cheekbones and his eyes... Ohhh my- is that a pair of deep blue sapphire swirling sea? I've never seen a blue-eyed person in my entire life! I can't believe my luck.

I walked out of the room with an endeavor to stay cool. If it wasn't for Aldelina, who eyed me suspiciously, I will start fangirling.

"Did you just said he have blue eyes?"

I tried to focus on my book, but my mind kept wandering away.

"Well, I'm not as empty-headed as you who never seen a blue-eyed person in your whole life-"

"Oh shut up. I'm stupid okay, not as smart and rich as someone is..." I muttered.

"Attention class, your classmate Whitney Tyler will be joining you starting from today."Mrs. Lydia walked into our class, with a boy tracing behind.

Finally.

"There, your royal subject," Lyla whispered.

"I'm Whitney Tyler, nice to meet you all." Even with our school uniform, his strong accent failed to hide his true identity.

How nice to meet you.

Dear Diary,

Today is the first day of the assignment. Let's skipped the how I wake up and took breakfast and other stuff. I saw Whitney Tyler's name on the name list and my first impression is: Wow! She's British. Truth be told, I've never had a glimpse of a British in my whole life, seeing that I never stepped out of this country before. In Japan, you rarely get to see British roaming the streets.

I was okay after I realized that it wasn't a girl at all. I wonder how would I cope with a guy from another country, another race. Well, I just hope I wouldn't offend him by being ignorant. He was a bit too quiet in class so I can't grasp his character, yet. But I hope we could cooperate well and he doesn't cause me trouble.

Daniella Tan

This is even worse but it's okay, I'm still learning.

Thank you for reading my book, I really appreciate it :)

Any tips or suggestions on how to make it better?
