chapter four

Harry's pov.

Once I get to my room I toss my bag to the side and open my curtains to let in some light. My window faces the street so I have a view of all the houses on the other side of the street.

I start unpacking the rest of my things to make my room more appealing until a sudden movement from liam's house catches my attention. The curtains in the window on the second floor swing open to reveal the girl from My classes. Jaelynn I think her name was , she stares out her window until she notices me staring at her and she makes eye contact with me but I quickly look away. When I look back up she's gone.

"She truly is beautiful" I whisper to myself. My phone beeps and catches my attention and I jump on my bed to retrieve it. I see that Zayn texted me

'meet me at the park by your house. I have an idea'

I run down the stairs and slip on my shoes and run out the door with out telling my mum.

Soon enough I reach the park and see Zayn sitting on a bench by himself.

"Alright Zayn what's your idea" I huff

"No hello?" he laughs

And I shoot him a glare

"Alright alright so you know jaelynn already. Correct? " he asks

"I know of her. I don't know her" I say

"Okay well get to know her and make her fall for you" he says

"What the hell? Why?"

"Because she's only had one boyfriend. Find some way to get with her and ruin her. " he growls

"Zayn, why ruin her ? She did nothing wrong " I ask

"Oh But harry her last boyfriend was her only boyfriend, wanna know where he is now?" he asks and I nod yes

"He's dead. " he snaps

"Zayn what's going on" I growl

"Harry, Jaelynn's last boyfriend's name was Eric. Eric was my bestfriend since preschool. He was abused by his dad and his mom walked out on him When he was 4. 9th grade he got with jaelynn and I was with Hailey, Jaelynn's older brother, Liam and his two bestfriends who are Louis and Niall they act as Jaelynn's older brothers it's been that way since She was born. Louis and Niall are practially family. Anways, Liam and his friends ended up not liking Eric and jaelynn broke up with him. It was so bad that on July 28th I lost my bestfriend to a successful suicide attempt. I was so angry I broke up with Hailey and I wanted to ruin jaelynn myself but of course being her bestfriends ex boyfriend I couldn't. But you being the new guy You just have to get jaelynn wrapped around your finger and ruin her. " Zayn says as he sits down again.

I take a deep breath as I take in this information

"Why did he do it?" I ask

"Eric?" he looks at me and I nod yes

He sighs and looks at me "He believed no one loved him, everyone he told ' I love you' to left him. He sent me a text right before he did it and I was too late. So I kept the message" he said

"Can I see it?" I ask and he nods and pulls out his phone and does some scrolling before handing me it.

"Why won't anybody love me?" the text read and I feel a pang of pain. This poor guy thought nobody loved him so he took his own life. I handed back his phone.

"So let me get this straight. You want me to get jaelynn to fall for me and completely ruin her. For your dead friend" I say and he nods

I smirk, "game on"
