taehyung ate his lunch silently. he was in a bad mood that day.

one, because jungkook didn't come to school as he was sick. two, because jimin abandoned him for yoongi. and three, because he was clearly eating alone and no one even bothered to approach him.

but his mood was lifted up a bit when he felt a presence beside him.

"why are you eating alone? where are your friends?" namjoon asked him and took a seat.

taehyung didn't answer but just gave namjoon a small smile.

"what is it? you know you can tell me." namjoon smiled assuringly.

"hey, look! it looks like jimin has gotten himself a new friend!" taehyung exclaimed sarcastically as he pointed at a table a bit far away from where they were seated at.

jimin was busy eating lunch with yoongi and they were obviously enjoying each other's presence.

"oh. don't worry, tae. you have me." namjoon beamed.

"and me. i'm a loyal hoe." hoseok sat beside taehyung and smiled at him brightly.

taehyung smiled back. he was starting to feel happy.

"so, namjoon. have you marked our test papers?" hoseok asked the person seating beside taehyung.

"yeah, don't worry. you both did great."

hoseok nodded, "knew it."

"hyung, hasn't seokjin hyung been acting weirdly these days?" taehyung turned to namjoon.

"for all i know, you're the one who's weird." namjoon said and hoseok agreed.

"hey, i'm not! jungkook even said that himself!" taehyung defended himself.

"then that means that jungkook has turned weird too." hoseok uttered.

"i'm not weird! i'm finally afraid of sujin!"

"why so?" namjoon asked.

"because i can feel my heart beating faster when she's around. that's a good sign, right?" taehyung grinned proudly.

namjoon gulped, "isn't that supposed to be a bad sign?"

"why?" the other two chorused.

"because that means that you're in love with her!" namjoon exclaimed.

taehyung and hoseok gasped loudly.

"you're joking, right?" hoseok laughed nervously.

"yeah, stop giving me the jimjams!" taehyung yelled.

"i'm not! i'm telling the truth!" namjoon yelled back.

the other two gasped again.

hoseok turned to taehyung, "confess to her!"

"what? no way!" taehyung cried.

"why not? it's just confessing!" hoseok giggled in excitement.

"what about confessing? who's confessing to who?" sujin sat in front of them and stared at them suspiciously.

"taehyung likes someone!" hoseok spilled.

"what? no i don't!" taehyung slapped hoseok's arm.

"you like someone?" sujin narrowed her eyes on taehyung.

"wait, why do you care?" namjoon squinted his eyes on sujin in suspicion.

"i don't care, actually. i'm just curious." sujin shrugged.

"that's just basically the same thing." namjoon laughed.

"no it's not!" sujin yelled.

"did you just yell at me, your teacher?" namjoon pointed at himself.

"i'm so sorry, sir. i won't do it again." sujin apologized half-heartedly.

"so much hate." namjoon muttered.
