I wake up in the morning feeling super sick. It must be something I ate so I brush it off. I jump in the shower to get my day started, I have some important clients coming into the spa today that only want me to service them. The water feels so good on my skin, damn how I wish Clarence was here. I haven't seen him in a week. I begin to wash my hair then all of a sudden I throw up.
"OMG!" I scream out. I never get sick. NEVER. Not even the common cold.
James rushes in the bathroom when he hears me scream out. "What's wrong? You ok baby?" He says to me behind the glass. I answer back "Yes!" While kicking the vomit down the drain so if he opens the shower door he won't see it and ask questions.
"You sure baby, I heard you scream?" He says opening the shower door to inspect me.
"Yes baby, I...umm...got...uh...soap in my eyes, yeah soap in my eyes and I almost slipped and fell that's all." I say to him while smiling a nervous smile. He gives me a kiss and tells me to be safe and closes the shower door. I finish up my shower thinking about reasons why I could be feeling sick like this. When I get out the shower, I immediately call my doctor to schedule an emergency visit today. I get dressed to head to the shop to get my day started, taking my mind off what happened this morning. I stop by Starbucks to get my favorite drink, a white mocha frappuccino with caramel drizzle. I pull up to the spa, and I start to feel sick again. I take two deep breaths before I enter the spa, now I'm nervous.
"Good morning Ms. King." says my front desk receptionist Ashley."Morning Ashley, how's everything going?" I ask. Giving the best smile I can give right now.
"Everything is going great! I'm in almost done with grad school and I think Mark is going to ask me to marry him!" she says.
"That's good. Let me know when Miss Suzie gets here, I"ll be in my office." I say as I hurry to my office. I can't wait until I get to the doctor to see what's wrong with me.
I finish Miss Suzie and cancel the rest of my clients for the day. I take my ass to the doctor. I love going to my doctor. She's really private and only deals with exclusive clients. She only takes one client at a time so that people can really feel private.
"Please see whats wrong with me!" I say to Jackie.
"Calm down hunny. Now explain to me what's going on?" She says.
"I woke up this morning feeling really sick like. I went to take a shower thinking that would help, and while I'm in the shower I vomit all over the place. It has to be something I ate because I never get sick." I say.
"Well it could be a number of things. I'll run a few tests to see what we can find. I'm also going to do a pregnancy test as well to X out that option." She replies.
"I don't need a pregnancy test but you can go ahead and do it I guess." I say.
After I'm done at the doctor I head home to get some rest. She prescribed me with some nausea medicine to stop from vomiting. She told me she would call me later with whatever results she finds out.
When I wake up, I have three missed called from Jackie and a voicemail. I listen to the voicemail and when I hear what she's saying on the other end I drop my phone and it shatters. I can't believe what I just heard. How am I going to explain this to my husband? We haven't had sex in I don't know when! My mind is spinning, I start sweating. I can't think. Just as I'm having a mental breakdown James walks in.
"Babe are you okay? What the hell is going on? First this morning and now this? Why is your phone shattered and why are you sweating?" He says with concern and anger in his voice.
"I just don't feel well that's all. I umm...went to see Jackie today and she told me I had a uh...small stomach virus and that I'll uh...be fine." "That's all baby, you wanna make me some soup?" I say with nervousness. He can always sense when I'm lying.
