Sans motions to the empty spot on the couch next to him, and you plop down. "So, I'm sans, sans the skeleton. I work multiple jobs, and I love ketchup" he chuckles, unbelievably straight forward with his simple facts. "(y/n). Books and the stars are most of my life" you mutter, glancing up at sans. "The stars?" He looks at you, a curious look dancing in his eyes. '"Yeah, the stars. The old matter in space that lightens the sky. The beautiful flecks that dot the galaxies" you turn to face him, flinching back as he had moved while you were talking. He seemed very interested. You tell him all about the stars, galaxies and constellations, he seems attached, and for once, you see a spark of new born happiness and inspiration in his eyes.

"Look, kid. This place isn't safe. So when you go around the place, stay quiet and out of reach, don't get ahead of yourself and be cocky, it'll just bring more attention and likely death. We all don't want that, yeah?" You stare at sans, nodding quietly.
He had broken the comfortable silence that you two had been sitting in after you teased him about being so interested by the stars. All he had done was pout and dis-agree.
"I honesty don't want to see you hurt. You're a nice kid, and that must mean something coming from a monster" sans ruffles your hair while talking. "In the morning, I'll tell you how the underground works"
You two eventually fell asleep next to each other, your head rested on his shoulder.
It, in fact, was the best sleep sans has had in a long while. For once it wasn't littered with nightmares of the past timeline.

You were woken by a gawking papyrus. "SANS WAKE UP, LEAVE THE POOR HUMAN ALONE, WE HAVE TO GET TO OUR STATIONS!!" He screeched. You slowly open your eyes, groaning. How bloody bright is this place? For a dark, corrupted world, waking up seemed to make it massively bright. "(Y/N), you alright there?" You here sans mutter. You nod your head, the light still a but blinding. "Just really bright, haha" your unused voice croaks.
"I told papyrus that I am going to be showing you around, and showing you how souls, and other such things, work. Would you like too?"
