A World Beneath Ours

Prologue:

I woke up to yelling and screaming throughout the castle. I quickly pulled on my armor trying to find the nearest person. I scanned for someone, but had no luck at all. I ran down the castle steps to see King Marsh fighting off the Manmoths. I quickly ran to his side helping him defeat the Manmoths.

"King Marsh, what has happened to the kingdom?" I asked him slicing off the Manmoths arm and kicking him down. The king swung his sword in one blow and killed the beast. He sighed and put his hand on my shoulder shaking his head. He turned to his side pointing to The large statue of his son. My looks were of confusion, but I got what he meant moments later.

"I'm going to the archery, I don't want you up here it'll be to dangerous. The last thing I want is for you to get hurt." He told me, he turned his back to me and brushed his hand dismissing me. He had been a father figure to all of us ever since we arrived in Marsh Kingdoms.

Remembering Alexis and Eli I quickly ran looking for there quarters. I found Alexis still sleep in hers. "Alexis wake up!" I yelled. "What?" She asked as she still laid there with her head still buried in the pillow. "Theres danger in the castle." This seemed to catch her attention as she jumped up and ran to get ready. Just as I was turning to get Eli he came out of his quarter ready for a fight.

Alexis scurried out of her room with a quiver draped over her shoulder and a bow in her hands. Before we could leave Alexis's room there was a loud explosion causing the ceiling to break under the pressure and leave us under the rubble.

My ears soon lost all sounds and my vision became blurry. I was pulled out the rubble minutes later by Eli, looking for alexis I turn around and see her shooting arrows at the mini flying dragons. She has really become a leader ever since we arrived here, and I'm proud to say that.

Alexis had her position so we needed to get to ours, I took my first step but found it very painful so I had to limp to my tower directing villagers to head to FairyDale. Then before my eyes I saw him, There Demetrius stood on the head of the dragon merging into its body take complete control of it. He Roared as loud as possible then turning to glance at me, knowing his every move I limped as fast as I could yelling for the king to get out of the tower. But it was too late..........the flame destroyed the entire building.

Out ran Alexis and Eli. I stared at the crumbling building in complete and utter shock. I turned my head to face the beast, Demetrius. I gave him a glare that could kill. I saw him chuckle before hovering over his army or....creatures.

We all met up and were circled by all of the monstrous creatures this world had to bring, they circled around us with killing being the only thing on there mind. "ATTACK!" Demetrius yelled. Making all the creatures charge towards us.

Alexis rose her bow, Eli took out his spell book, and I rose my sword. And I thought to myself.............

Let the battle begin.
