She's Gone

The avengers are gathered in a meeting room. Steve clears his throat and announces the details regarding their next mission.

"Alright guys, a secret hydra base has been located in South Africa. Apparently there was a mineral found there that enhances human strength. They've been testing it on humans."

Tony smirks, "Well, it's not a secret base if we know about it cap".

Ignoring his remark, Steve continues, "Anyways, I want to send a three man team to check it out and stop their research. I've decided to bring Romanoff and Banner with me."

Tony exclaims, "You're bringing the green guy?! Aren't we trying not to get caught?"

"We need him Tony. The base releases gamma rays when they insert the enhancing medicine into the people." Steve glances over to Natasha as she slightly nods her head.

The meeting comes to an end, and the three head out to the plane that is waiting for them on the Avengers Tower.  Steve calls Natasha's name as he rushes over to her. He says, "It's going to take at least 21 hours to get there."

"I've been on longer rides. You don't have to worry," she replies.

Steve glances over at Bruce, "It's not you I'm worried about."

Natasha sits across from Bruce and gently places her belongings next to her. The plane begins gaining speed as it starts to lift off the ground.

The pilot grabs the mic, "Alright folks, it is currently 9 o'clock AM. We are expected to arrive tomorrow morning at 6."

After hearing this, Natasha stretches out her legs and slowly starts to close her eyes.

Several hours pass, and the pilot calmly speaks, "We are currently experiencing a little turbule-"

Confused by the interrupted announcement, Bruce walks towards the pilot, only to see five hydra soldiers pointing their guns towards him.

The wind rushes in the plane through the emergency door, and he sees the clouds below him. His heart begins to race and he starts feeling his skin turn green.

Natasha wakes up, startled by the sudden noise erupting from the front of the plane. She sprints towards Bruce with Steve following her.

Natasha reaches Bruce, noticing his slightly green skin and the hydra soldiers.

"Bruce, you run to the back. Everything's going to be fine as long as you don't turn green. Ok?"

"O-okay I'll go."

One of the soldiers start to fire, aiming at Bruce. Steve rushes over and blocks the shot using his shield.

Bruce uses the moment to run to the back of the plane. Natasha kicks the gun out of another soldier and flips him over using her legs. She grabs the other soldier by his arms and uses him as a shield against the others.

Bruce reaches the back of the plane and sits on the ground. He hears the cries of the soldiers behind him.

Steve slams his shield into a hydra soldier and uses his gun to shoot the other. He glances over to see Natasha occupied with the other soldiers. Steve begins to go towards her when one of the soldiers stabs a syringes in Natasha, grabs her, and jumps out the plane.

Steve yells out her name and rushes towards the exit only to see the soldier land in a hydra plane. It changes directions and flies the opposite way.

Bruce hears the sudden call for Nat and runs back to the front of the plane.

"Where's Nat?"

"They got her Banner. They sedated her and jumped out."

Anger boils inside Bruce, furious that he wasn't able to help her. Unable to contain his anger he begins to turn green.
