I woke up at 5:30 am. I yawned before I got out of my bed.

Today is the day. The best performance of your life, Shawn.

I did my normal routine and for on a black shirt and a pair of jeans; the normal.

"Honey, the cars here." My mum yelled from downstairs.

"I'm coming." I yell back, in response.

I look in the mirror one last time.

"This is your big day."

I grab my guitar case, that contained my lucky guitar and headed downstairs and out the door with my parents and Aaliyah.

" 'Hati!" I yell, running up to her and embracing her in a hug.

"Al!" She yelled back.

"How was Europe?" I say, making googly eyes at her.

She was in England to visit her boyfriend, Adam, on his tour with his band.

"It was fine, thank you." She states, rolling her eyes.

"C'mon, Gigi is waiting in the car." I tell her.

Behati and I were ushered to our car by our bodyguards. Of course, there were paparazzi there, screaming our names and taking pictures with the flash on, but we just ignored them.

When we finally got to the car, I got in first, then Behati, followed by our bodyguards.

"Hey Gi." Behati greeted Gigi.

"Hey 'Hati." Gigi greeted back.

We had a conversation for about twenty minutes until we reached my house.

"I'll be right back." I say, stepping out of the car and rushing inside my house.

"Vanessa, come on." I yell.

"I'm coming." I hear a couple of minutes later.

My mom walks through the kitchen and greets me.

"Hey Mama." I reply.

"No te permaneces fuera demasiado tarde." She says, pointing a finger at me.

("Don't stay out too late.")

"Comprendo, mama." I say, as Vanessa walks down the stairs.

My mom kisses Vanessa on the forehead and hugs me.

"Bye Mama." Vanessa and I say, in unison.
