Chapter 5

Jessamines POV:

"Niall! You're doing it wrong!" I hear Louis yell. "How the fuck does it to then?!" Niall yells back. I groan, rolling onto my side. I look at the time 10 am. Eleanor has an appointment today for her 7th month. They've chosen a name but they're not telling until everyone is coming over later. I climb out of bed and go to the bathroom. I wash my face and brush my teeth. I put my hair up into a bun and go downstairs. I pour a glass of juice for myself and start making some oatmeal. I feel butterflies in my stomach and then a really weird feeling. I shrug it off and eat my breakfast. I walk up the stairs and into the bathroom again, looking through the cabinets. I find the box and close the door.

*Beep* *Beep* The timer goes off. I'm just gonna be straight up with you, I'm taking a pregnancy test. I open my eyes and read the stick. Positive. I've got to go to the Doctors. I walk out and into Wills room. I tap Niall and hand the stick to him. He looks at me confused. "This has to be a mistake. We haven't had sex since Will was like 9 months." "I don't know, Niall. I've got to go to the Doctor."

"Jessamine?" I stand up and walk back with the nurse. She weighs me and all that and takes me to a room. "We're going to test you and then do an Ultra sound. She hands me a test and tells me to go to the bathroom to pee in a cup. I do what I'm told and pee in the cup. I get back to the room and hand her the cup. She sticks it in the pee and says,"Pink means your pregnant, Blue means your not." She takes it out and shows me it. I'm pregnant, it's pink. I smile. "We're going to do an Ultra sound so I'm going to get the doctor." She says, I nod and lie down. A few minutes later the doctor comes in. "Hi! I'm doctor Brittney. Doctor Jane isn't here today, so I'm filling in for her. Let's get started." She says, putting the gel on my stomach. She rubs the wand and soon you see a small baby on the screen. A tear slides down my cheek as I smile. "You are 12 weeks pregnant." "But I had a miscarriage? How is this possible?" "You had a thing called "Vanishing Twin Syndrome" where you're pregnant with twins and you have miscarriage symptoms and the twin vanishes." "But their was no heart beat.." I whisper. "Twins aren't discovered right away. The doctor probably didn't find the other twin right away or they were fraternal twins and one was behind the other." She explains, handing me a towel. I nod and wipe the gel off.

I cried all the way home. I can't believe it. I'm still pregnant. I can't wait till I tell Every one. I unlock the door and walk inside. William waddles to me. I pick him and squeeze him lightly. "Vanishing Twin Syndrome. I was pregnant with twins and I had symptoms of a miscarriage and the twin vanished. She thinks the baby was hiding so that we didn't hear a heart beat so we thought I wasn't pregnant." "You're still pregnant?" Niall asks. I nod and smile.

I tweet: 'Vanishing Twin Syndrome. It's a thing where your pregnant with Twins and you have symptoms of a miscarriage and one of the twins disappears. I have it. I was pregnant with twins and one vanished and we thought I had a miscarriage but guess what we found out today? I'm 12 weeks pregnant with the other twin!'
