We packed the bags we brought with 1 thing. A gun. I found a gun in one of the stores. I took it just in case.
Kelsey had nothing on her. I was faster than her, stronger than her, and taller than her. I should take the bag and the gun. But Kelsey disagreed and took the gun.
After walking for an hour we spotted a dear. Kelsey held up the gun and struggled to shoot. She couldn't even put her finger on the trigger. I snatched the gun out of her hands and fired before the dear could get away.
The sound of gun fire rang in my ears. I looked to see Kelsey's wide eyes staring at me with fear.
"It's ok Kels." I said soothingly, " We need to eat or we'll starve.""Ok." Kelsey said looking at the ground.
I noticed she was trying to blink away the tears but it just made them roll down her face.I slowly walked over to the dear that was laying dead. I must of hit its head.
Kelsey helped me pick up the heavy dear and carry it all the way back to the trailer. I skinned it, gutted it, cleaned it and cooked it.
After the meal Kelsey made coats and hats out of the skin.
Winter was coming soon.
