Jhene and Aaliyah in the MM.
Jhene.Packing to go to college? One of the worst things ever.
"Dad, can we go please?"
It seemed as if he didn't hear me, so I just decided to help him out a bit. I trolled up the stairs into the nursery and picked up my infant sister, Tia. As I picked her up, she gave me a toothless grin and I took that time to stare into her big brown orbs.
I began shaking her in my arms as she had that look like she was about to cry, but she didn't , it was actually her twin brother Ti'Andre.
"Oh God,"
As if on cue, my 14 year old sister came into the room and picked him up, rocking him slowly, causing him to settle down.
"Your a life saver Jaylee," I chuckled as I continued to bounce Tia around.
"Are you gonna miss me Jhene?" She said rocking Ti'Andre in her arms.
I looked at her, giving her a closed mouth smile.
"What kind of question is that? Of course I am,"
She smiled at me and made her way downstairs with Ti'Andre sleeping in her arms.
"Girls come on, we have a long way ahead of us!" My dad yelled.
I slowly made my way downstairs and saw all my boxes put away into the van.
"Jayson come on," Jaylee yelled as she strapped Ti'Andre into his car seat.
She jogged back inside and came out with a messy looking 7 year old boy.
"Goodness Jay, what were you doing in there?" I chuckled.
He looked at me and rolled his eyes going on with his business.
Well then.
I strapped Tia into her car seat, and took my usual seat in the front.
"Let's do this,"
--
"Dad I'm fine now," I smiled as he continued to look around my apartment. I decided not to get a dorm room, due to the fact that I like my space and privacy.
"Are you sure honey? We can stay a bit longer,"
"Daddy, Jhene is fine, can we go now ?" Jayson said tapping his foot in aggravation.
At his age, he has way more attitude than he should.
My father glared at him, and then back at me.
He took that time to pull me in for a deep hug."Daddy, are you going be ok with the kids now that mom is gone?" I whispered in his ear. "I can go to a community college and stay home if you want,"
"You must be crazy, Jhene, I'll be fine darling, the only thing I want you doing is making me proud here. I'm sure you mommy is very proud of you for making it this far."
"I can't believe it's been 7 months since she's gone," I sighed.
I didn't even notice I was crying until my father wiped my tears and my siblings started hugging me. Even Jayson.
My mom died during child birth with the twins, at first I blamed the twins for it, but soon learnt that it wasn't their fault.
"Jhene are you crying because your gonna miss us?" Jayson asked.
"No, she's crying because she's looking at that thing you call a face right now," Jaylee replied smartly.
