When they entered the Wayne's house we knew our life would be completely different than before. They felt this new atmosphere, this more dark, yet happy, atmosphere. It was different than in Olympus. The calm, yet beautiful, atmosphere was now gone from their lives.
After a couple of months of being in the Wayne's house, he brother would spend time with their new so called father. Bruce would often come home late at night, but yet he would wake up almost as early as the sun to make sure everything was absolutely perfect for his new kids.
Minerva was more of a mother's protégé she would often be with Diana. Barely with Bruce. She would mostly be with Diana simply because Diana was more happy, and she would always chuckle at Minerva's attempt to fit correctly in man's world. (Mostly because it reminded her of her old times trying to fit in man's world as well. ) she would always show her the right way to do something, teach the teen in a cheerful way to fit correctly.
Over the days, each other the twins are beginning to develop the attitude of their parents. Minerva would be like her mother. Cheerful, stubborn as it could ever be, and mostly happy. Dean on the other hand would be more restricted, more to himself. Always making decisions by himself. Whenever Minerva would try to talk to him he would push her away. No. Matter. What.
They would fight more than they ever did before. They would hear their parents fight. Over them. Over how Bruce was completely changing the young man. As their mother would call Dean.
However, Dean and Minerva were twins. Gods. A part of them would always feel what the other felt. Minerva could no longer feel what her dear brother felt. He blocked everything from his sister. Yet, he, could feel everything her sister was feeling, every time he pushed her away. Every time they were sparring and he threw her on the wall a little too hard.
He once actually broke one of her ribs. The force of the impact had been way too big. The wall behind her cracked as she hit it the wall. She let out a little gasped and winced. Though, he could hear her scream in pain, he could hear her internally telling him to go to Tartarus. He slowly went towards her and tried to help her up.
She looked at him with a little smile and pushed his hand away. Getting up slowly, holding her side, and winced as she got up, keeping the smile on her face, she said "I'm fine, thank you brother. I think our sparring will be over for today. To another time maybe." She smiled and left, wincing at every step she took.
That night, at supper, he noticed that his sister and his mother were absent.
"I'm afraid Miss Minerva and Miss Diana will have to be absent for tonight's supper, Master Dean." The butler, Alfred, said, pain in his voice. He knows. Dean thought.
His father was glaring at him the whole time during dinner. He also knew what he had done. He knew he had hurt a woman. His sister to be precise. He knew his sister was completely capable of taking care of herself, but still. Hurting his dearest sister was not something he wanted.
After finishing his supper he sheepishly said
"May I excuse myself, Alfred? I do not feel like eating desert, even though I'm sure your fudge cake is delicious, I have to be quite honest, your delicious food has filled me Alfred-"
Before he could finish his flattery Bruce cut in. "Quit your flattering, son. You are not excused from this table until your sister comes back from the hospital. Then after, when she's back, you will apologize, AND THEN we will discuss the consequences!" His voice raised at the end.
Rage was fuming from Dean. Who dares? His beloved father? No! He's a God for Hera's sakes! His sister is a goddess, she should be capable of taking care of herself, not being the family's protégé!
He slowly rose from his sit and was transforming into his "God like form". A little bit of light and powder raising behind him. "You dare? You cannot tell me what to do! I will not listen to a word you are saying!" Alfred made his way out of the kitchen when he heard the ladies come in. The two males were too preoccupied to shout at each other to hear them coming back home.
"Ah Miss Diana. I am absolutely delighted to see you've finally arrived!" The old's man eyes slowly crept to see a young Minerva, half asleep, tears falling off her delicate face, in her mother's arms.
"...and this is not what I expected to see when you would've came back...may I ask what the doctor said?" He asked softly, seeing how it pained her mother to see her daughter like this.
"The-e...the doctor he said... She has a concussion, and 2 broken ribs. They thought it was only one but...finally it was two.." She stammered. Tears treating to come back. "Alfred, I'm thinking.. Would it be possible to have her place into a new room, closer to Bruce and i's?" She asked softly.
The English butler nodded. "Of course Madame, I will get the room ready at this very moment." He left smiling softly and the woman and at the child, looking at him with big eyes, looking as confused as ever.
Minerva's mother smiled softly at her now awoken daughter. "Come on now, my little sun and star, let's go see your dearest Daddy and your so lovely brother. "Minerva could feel how angry she was at her brother.
When they started walking towards the dinner room and they could hear shoutings. Lights. Powder...?
"She can protect herself!"
"You've hurt your sister! You will have consequences"
"You can't tell me what to do"
When they both got into the dinner room, Diana could feel Minerva trembling. Murmuring words that she thought she could only hear.." It's all my fault mother... I am sorry mother... I should've protected myself mother... I'm sorry for the damaged I've caused mother... I'm sorry for taking your time mother... I'm sorry for creating a fight between father and brother... I am sorry,."
Diana couldn't handle her daughter being this way... She couldn't help but let the tears fall down her cheeks. Looking at the scene in front of her, seeing the both of her favourite boys in the world.. Fighting.
"Enough..." Diana heard Minerva's faint whisper say. "Enough..."this one came a little louder and Diana could feel her daughter's grip slightly beginning to increase.
"Enough..." That one was loud enough for the boys to hear... Yet they didn't... Her grip was tighter and tighter each seconds.
Then she screamed it, gripping her mother like she would lose her forever. Like she was dying. "ENOUGH!" Both boys flied off the ground to be thrown on the closest wall. The impact wasn't enough to hurt anyone.
After the boys realized the girls had arrived they looked around to see golden powder everywhere...this must have came from Minerva's shout/ summoning. Bruce thought.
Diana looked at the boys and sighed. She did not even flinch when the boys were thrown over to the wall. She knew her daughter would never do anything to harm anyone. She looked from one boy to another, and closed her eyes. She looked at Minerva in her arms, the girl was trembling, scared, crying, sleeping.
Diana started walking towards the stairs afterwards, only to hear Bruce shout at their son to stay there. Then she heard him call for her. "Diana! Diana please"
She ignored him and continued to walk towards the stairs. When she was at the top she walked towards the room Alfred had prepared for Minerva. She looked at the butler and smiled softly, thanking him. "Alfred one more thing... Tell Bruce i will be sleeping in Minerva's room for the night. And to no bother us."
The English man looked at her carefully, studying her face. She was scared, and fragile, just like her daughter. She was scared for the life of her daughter. It frightened her. "Will do miss Diana. Have a goodnight"
She smiled and entered the room. "Come on honey" she smiled softly at her sleeping daughter. "Let's go to bed"
