Popularity
Chapter 03
~
The time had come. Brooke, Britt and I were all huddled on my bed discussing my master plan to kick Dylan out of popularity and get a boyfriend I actually enjoyed being around.
"But Dylan is captain of the football team and everyone loves him!" Brooke exclaimed after I told her what I was planning to do.
"Which is exactly why we need a plan to make everyone hate him so his popularity scale will go down. Then I can date a better guy." I replied. I felt like this is the smartest decision I had made since becoming popular.
"What do you mean a better guy? Who could be better than the hottest most popular guys in Cameron High?" Britt exclaimed. I huffed.
"I want a real guy. Someone who actually cares about me and wants to hang out with me because he enjoys my company. Not someone who uses me for popularity boosts and sex. Someone like James." I replied as I looked at Brooke. Her eyes widened.
"YOU WANT TO DATE JAMES!?" She screamed. I calmed her down.
"No silly I just want a guy who treats me as nicely as James treats you." I replied. Her face grew from angry to harmless.
"He is pretty sweet to me isn't he?" She said with a wide grin. I giggled an nodded. Britt spoke up.
"So how are we going to do the Peyton. It's not like you can just dump him and he automatically becomes unpopular, I mean he is Dylan O'Brien." She replied. To be honest I didn't really have a plan. All I knew was that something has to be said about Dylan to get the school to think he is as bad as I know he is. Someone has to makeup something.
Someone has to start a rumour. A rumour that will kill Dylan's popularity status for good. And he will go down with Kelly and Blake, never to be seen as King of Cameron High again.

It had been 2 hours since my plan to start a rumour. We had all been coming up with cunning plans to ruin him but they just were not working out. Especially Britt's ones.
"I know! How about we make him get arrested! Then he will never come back to school!" Britt exclaimed. I sighed and rolled my eyes. You could say Brittany was the stupid one but that would be an understatement.
"Britt come on be realistic!" I exclaimed falling back onto my bed. I started up at the pink celling.
"Maybe we could say he did something to you like rape or something." Brooke said out of the blue. I sat up and looked at her.
"I like where your getting but I think rape is a bit too far. What's something smaller than that." I said not wanting to go to jail or something for faculae accusation.
"Assult?"
"Nope."
"Killing your puppy?" Britt asked.
"No way!"
"I know! Killing your cat!" She exclaimed.
"Britt we don't have a cat." I replied. Her mouth formed an 'o' as she giggled.
"What about he cheated." Brooke said. My mouth grew into a large smile as I hugged her.
"It's perfect!" I exclaimed. She laughed.
"Okay we need a plan A, B and possibly C." She said as she grabbed a pen and paper from the desk and we created our game plan.
~
The plan was set. First of all I was going to start ignoring Dylan and blacking him out. Then it would come to a point where I would start crying in some classes. And finally I would confront him in front of the entire school at an everyday lunchtime in the cafeteria. The plan sounded like it would work out perfectly and I was so excited to get him out of my life.
