The girl suddenly had a collision of exhaustion and coziness. She slept alone which was pretty weird. The fox that was usually by her side is no longer in sight and the tree sleepers are also nowhere to be found, but in this sudden drowsy state she was captivated in, she didn't even notice.

After a few hours of the nap, she felt the nap was okay but not perfect. She felt like something was missing. She was still in discomfort, it felt like she was sleeping with her eyes wide open. Turning to the right, turning to the left, rubbing her arms and legs, turning to the right and then to the left. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. An endless cycle.

A sudden rustling in the bushes woke her up. She snapped her head towards the direction the sound.

Out of nowhere, the grey creature she saw a week ago emerged out of the bushes. The girl's lip shivered and she stared at the beast which was hard to do considering it was dark with only the round moon that looked lovelier than ever to bring them some sort of light. She blinked slowly and felt the ground beneath her by digging her heels steadily into the ground.A habit of hers. She felt that if she made any sudden movements it would leave.

The creature seemed larger than the other day and it's growl sounded deeper too. She flinched at the change of tone in his growl. He took a step forward and she stood still as a statue while he continued to proceed his groaning. When he took more steps, she did not move or flinch. She seemed calm and still as ever. Finally, the creature was just a inch away from colliding into her. She had to look up into his dark gray with a tint of blue eyes since the creature was so big. It was also because she was sitting down.

She could not tell if the beast had blue or grey eyes, the moon did not do much for her. She found a beautiful red flower beside her and then picked it up ever so gently as the creature stared into her eyes. She nudged the flower towards the creature and he devoured the flower in one single bite. She frowned and glared at the creature and the beast swept its tail playfully. Now that she thinks about it, it looks similar to the fox. Perhaps this huge four legged sack of meat and bones is a relative in the fox family.

The animal rested it's head on her lap and it sighed heavily as a result. She had this idea and smiled to her self. She let out a sound and one single fire fly came out of hiding. For your information, fireflies do have a sense of hearing. The girl after all these years had attained a knowledge of the animals here many would never know in their lifetime.

The creature lifted it's head and looked around, clearly intrigued. He wagged his tail and when the firefly flew near his moist nose, his mouth snapped forward. Immediately the beast grimaced in disgust.

Secretly, the girl was thinking in her mind "serves you right." She knew very well that fireflies are not tasty to any predators but themselves since they are cannibalistic. The girl got up as an attempt to shoo the beast away so she can go back to enjoying her hibernation however the giant furry beast decided to lay and take a nap for some reason. The girl sighed and layed on its side. She thought something was missing in her wonderful combination of sleep ,but now the beast became a understudy for the fox and the combination of mood and comfort was set and balanced to get the best sleep she has ever had. In her opinion, the beast was furrier and warmer and she felt like she was in the gape of a warm, furry tree instead of a hard, cold one. The beast's ear were barely the size of her entire hand and it's head was the size of an adult's spinal cord. It's tail was incredibly long and silky. Its fur was silky , but not as silky as the tail. She cuddled like a baby cub and they slept for hours and hours. He was like a furry blanket of warmth. She wished this feeling would never end.
