Hey there!
So I'm assuming you're pretty impatient and have been binge reading countless stories on here already and that you really just want to get to the whole thing, but please do not skip me!! This is the part where you get to learn about mine and Naomi's meeting. I know exciting right? I just thought you should see where it all started first before we get into the whole drama fest that is to come. So without further ado~
I've never really had many friends until I met Naomi. I'm like that awkward weird girl who is as blind as a bat and can never get my words right the first time through. From the very first moment I met Naomi I knew we would be together forever, but I didn't know what that really meant at the time.
She had been a transfer student all the way from California to New Jersey. Her family had more wealth than you can imagine. They had vacation houses practically everywhere! One day though, they just decided California wasn't for them and moved in the middle of her 3rd grade school year.
"Class why don't we all welcome our new student all the way from California, Naomi Albni!", Ms. Trainor exclaimed with much enthusiasm and just like we were in some AA meeting the whole class responded with, "Hi Naomi."
I didn't say anything though, because she looked like every other popular girl at the school and yes in 3rd grade there were popular people. She had long blonde hair and pink plump lips. Okay, you know those kid models that you always see on Instagram and suddenly find yourself wishing you looked that that eight year old ? Yeah, she looked like that. For some reason though she seemed different than those girls.
So anyway, she introduces herself and the class claps and everyone's in love with her obviously because she basically is the real life version of an American Girl Doll. Ms. Trainor eventually points to her seat and fate just so happened to land that seat right next to mine (I know what a coincidence right. I swear I'm not making this up ;) ).
"Hi, I'm Naomi," she greets me politely, "what's your name?"
"Danielle," I responded while pushing up my potter glasses, "it's okay if you don't remember it though, a lot of people don't."
She smiled at me and replied, "I'll just call you Dani then," she stated, "is that okay?"
"Oh. Uhm, yeah that's cool I guess," I turned back to the front of the classroom where Ms. Trainor was teaching a lesson on long division.

Flash forward to lunch time.. The most stressful part of the day for me because usually at around this time if I'm not quick to the bathroom The Dolls would be after me.The Dolls are a group composed of four snooty girls being Terri B.,Tori K., Tiffani F., and their leader Rebecca Z. Not to be confused with Rebecca Y. because she was a foreign exchange student whom never really learned English all that well (don't ask why they let a 3rd grader be a foreign exchange student, anything is legal in New Jersey).
So anyway this particular day at lunch the line is moving horrifically slow. I get my daily slop and rush to the girls bathroom when I am met with the four horseman of the Apocalypse basically.
"Where you going four eyes?" Rebecca spat at me whilst her posse repeated what she says in a somehow more annoying tone.
I didn't answer her. I only set down my food and my glasses on the floor and wait for the inevitable. Rebecca proceeded to shove me to the floor, pick up my tray of lunch and spill it on my head, "Oops, looks like you spilled something there fag" The witch barked as her pack of moonmoon's repeated the slur. I didn't even know what that meant at the time, but I knew it wasn't nice.
Once they left I started to get up when I felt a hand helping me. I looked up to see which teacher it was and to my surprise it was Naomi, "oh jeez, they really messed with you, huh. You know, In California we have regular assemblies about bullying so I know how to handle this don't worry," she reassures me as she picked up my glasses and hands them to me, "let's get you cleaned up first though okay?"
"O-Okay.." I replied in shock.
She helped me up into the bathroom and washed my hair out. She was very calm and casual as well and I didn't quite understand it really, but for some reason I felt safe for once. She told me stories of what happened when someone was being bullied at her old school and how nobody would put up with it. When she finished washing my hair in the sink she offered me her lunch since mine was down the drain. I accepted and she smiled as she watched me eat, asking me questions about those girls and why they didn't like me. I didn't really know at the time and I may never really know.
Once I finished eating she took my tray to the trash and together we went to the office to tell them about the bullying.
I went home that day and told my mom that I had finally made a friend.
