Chapter 8 - Mystery Guy

Y/N floated around the island, searching for Reni.

She spotted the camp and could see Thea flying around helping Mira and Erza.

"Where could she be..."

Reni's POV

I walked around mindlessly, admiring the scenery.

This is boring.

Then a scream disrupted my silence.

I ran towards it, hoping to knock some contesters out of the game.

When I showed up at the clearing, I saw Evergreen and Elfman leaning against the rock, exhausted.

"Well, Hello." I said, going closer to them.

Evergreen groaned.

"Who's that behind you?" Elfman asked, pointing behind me.

I turned around, a guy popped out, he wore a black shirt and pants with gold embroidery and a white toga over it. His magic energy was filled the air.

"Impossible..." I said, stepping close to him.

"Stop!" He said, holding his hands up. "Don't come closer!"

He was muttering to himself and staring at us.

Not creepy at all.

Then he was groaning in pain, clutching his head, a black fog surrounded him, killing the falling leaves and grass around him.

"Duck!" I screamed.

"Watch out!" Natsu screamed at he pushed Elfman and Evergreen on the ground.

The fog cloud spreader around him, killing everything living.

"Who the hell are you?" Nastu demanded.

"This island is our Guilds ground." I informed the guy.

"So this island is operated by a guild..." The guy said, or told himself.

Natsu jumped and punched him.

"Nastu!" I said, surprised by his action.

"Talk about cold blooded." Evergreen muttered.

"That's Natsu for you." Happy replied.

"I'm not asking you again, Who are you?" Natsu demanded again.

I ran to Natsu and grabbed his arm. "Relax Natsu.."

Reni looked at the guy, who was crying on the floor.

"Sir? Are you alright? I'm sorry for his behavior." I apologized, offering a hand.

The guy looked at me, surprised that she offered him her hand.

Natsu glared at him.

The guy ignored my hand and got up.

"You haven't answered me yet." Natsu said.

The guy's pitch black eyes looked so familiar...

He suddenly started groaning, clutching his head again.

I widen my eyes as the same black cloud earlier surrounded him.

I knew there was no time to run, so I made a shielding sign and commanded "White Angels Aura!"

White wings exploded out of my back and a white cloud surrounded me, shielding myself, unfortunately not Natsu.

"Natsu!" I heard Happy cry out.

The black fog rushed past my safe haven.

It was strong. Maybe a little too strong.

When the fog evaporated, the guy was gone.

Natsu was somehow alright.

"Natsu! Your scarf!" Happy said

Natsu glared at the spot where the guy was and clutched his, now black, scarf.

I turned towards the others. "Now I'm sure you know that I'm suppose to beat up anyone I see but since this is a special matter, you better run." I told them.

My white angel wings flapped at flew me away.

Where was that guy. He can't get that far...

I flew around the area, searching. But then I spotted a bubble in the distance.

Y/N?

I flew towards it.

"Y/N?" I called out.

The figure turned around, her face broke into a smile and drifted towards me.

"Reni!"

My thoughts drifted back to the guy.

Should I tell her?

I probably should, things never end well when secrets are kept.

I told Y/N what happened and watched as her face turned into curiosity.

"So where is he?" Y/N asked.

"That's what I'm trying to find." I told her.

"I think we should tell Ma-Gramps first." Y/N said. "And aren't you on a job right now?"

"You're right... The test must go on. I'll do my job, you go tell Gramps."

"Yes Ma'am!" Y/N said, playfully, and drifted off to Mavis's Grave.

I landed on the ground and began running around, looking for contesters.

I walked quietly around the forest. Then a heard a cluster of whispers.

I smirked and walked towards the whispers.

Grey and Loke where behind a couple bushes, a lizard was biting Grey's head.

I smacked them, and sent them flying.

I heard girls screaming and saw Lucy and Cana looking at me in horror.

I raised a eyebrow at them, reminding them to avoid me.

They quickly left the scene as I walked up to the two boys.

"So, perverts, enjoy stalking?" I said, hands in my hips, a foot against their back.

"We." Grunt. "Aren't perverts." Grey grunted.

"Your actions says otherwise.." I said, looking at Loke.

"Hi, I believe we haven't met yet. My name is Reni, but you may call me ma'am." I said, coldly.

"M-ma'am?" He said, as I pressed my foot harder on them.

"Yes?" I smirked, enjoying it.

"We're S-sorry."

I smirked wider, "You better be."
