You were so happy that it was 7 pm and you could finally go home after a very tiring day at work. You sigh just thinking about all the crap that you have to put up with every day at work, especially from your boss. Your boss caused you to feel stressed all the time, and your amazing boyfriend, Michael, would always tell you that it isn't good for your health. You knew he was right, but there was nothing you could do about it. It sucked having to work while Michael was having time off, but it was something you had to do. Your boss was offering a promotion, and there was nothing you wanted more badly than to get it. That meant that for the next couple weeks, you were gonna have to really kiss his ass to get it.
It wasn't until work finished that you could start to feel happy, especially knowing that you could come home to your loving boyfriend, Michael.
Once you parked your car in the driveway and gathered your things, you unlocked the front door of you and Michel's shared apartment, plunked your stuff down on the couch and took your shoes off. "This is strange ...." you thought to yourself. Usually, once you arrived home from work, the apartment would be full of life; a loud, excited, jumpy Michael would be waiting for you to come home. He would run up to you and wrap you in his arms, telling you how much he missed you.
Instead, the apartment was dead silent. So silent that you could hear a pin drop. All the lights were off. You were very confused. You decided to call out his name.
"Mikey?" you called out. You listened carefully for any sign of Michael. Nothing.
"Michael, babe? Where are you?" you began to worry.
You started wondering around the apartment, searching in every room you passed to see if Michael was there. After checking the whole of downstairs, you decided to head upstairs to search for him there. Once you were standing right in front of the door to your guys' bedroom, you could hear sniffling. "Is he crying?" you thought to yourself. You took a quick peak through the slight gap in the door. Michael was sitting on the edge of the bed, his head in his hands. His elbows were rested on his legs. You could see him shaking. The sight made your heart break; you needed to help him feel better.
You slowly opened the door, not wanting to startle him. However, the door made a creaking sound, causing Michael to look up at you. He attempted to quickly wipe away his tears, not wanting to worry you. You stepped inside the bedroom and walked towards him slowly, sitting yourself on the bed beside him. You took his hand in yours and looked up at him.
"What's wrong Michael? Why are you crying?" you asked with a sympathetic look on your face. You hated seeing him like this. When he was upset, you were upset too.
"Oh, Y/N, it's nothing, babe. Don't worry about it." he said, still avoiding eye contact.
"Please look at me, Mikey" you said, tilting his head up. "Tell me, what's wrong? I want to make it better."
Michael slowly looked at you, his eyes red and puffy. He still had tears running down his face. "Well, um .... it's nothing, really. It sounds so ridiculous." he said, shaking his head.
"Mike, anything that is making you this upset is not ridiculous. What's wrong?" You turned yourself around so you were facing him completely.
"It's just that, I find that a lot of times I feel like I don't deserve you. I mean, look at you. You're so caring, loving, beautiful and kind. You have no flaws. Everything about you is so precious and perfect. Someone as perfect as you does not deserve to be with someone like me." he explained as he put his head down once again, tears starting to flow down his cheeks. You were speechless. You had no idea what to say. You lifted his chin up with your finger and looked into his deep brown eyes.
"Honey, what are you talking about? You have no idea how lucky I am to have you. Anyone would be lucky to have you. You're such a kind person with a heart the size of the world! You're generous, caring, friendly to everyone, and so incredibly loving. If anything, I don't deserve you, Michael. You could be with anyone in the world, and you're with me." You say, a tear now rolling down your cheek. Michael looks up at you, wiping the tear off your cheek.
"I don't like to see you upset, Mikey. Please stop crying..." you said, looking down. He then wrapped his arms around you, giving you a giant hug. You smiled, and you could feel him smile too. He then put his hands on your cheeks and leaned in, his lips touching yours. Once you both separated from the kiss, Michael had a huge smile on his face. His smile was contagious. Seeing him smile made you feel really happy.
"I love you so much, Mikey. I hope you know that. And don't ever think that you aren't good enough, because that's not true at all. You're such an amazing person, and I am so lucky to call you mine." you say, smiling at him and grabbing his hand.
"I love you so much too, Y/N, more than you will ever know. I couldn't live without you. Thank you so much for helping me feel better." he said while giving you a wide smile; the smile that made your day, every day.
"I love it when you smile" you said. He smiled again, even wider.
"Come on, Y/N, lets go downstairs and watch a movie." he said, grabbing you by the hand and helping you up.
"We'll race! I'm gonna beat you!" you giggle as you start running out of the room and downstairs towards the living room.
Michael shakes his head in amusement as he starts running down the stairs after you.
You really were made for each other.
