By the end of August the trial was over. Nick Sterling was sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty to the murder of 9 people. It was the headline for weeks and it seemed hard to do anything without the Sterling's being questioned by media. They of course laid low for months and after months, they were left alone. Nora's mother went to visit her son every other week while Nora and her father only went every month or so, not that Nick had a problem.
Life went on and near the end of the that month Nora went in for an interview at the coroner's lab. She got the job on the spot. She put in long hours at the lab not that she complained. She lived with her parents, knowing that they needed her around for the current moment.
Mr.Sterling also had a new job. Author of a crime series. The first book in the series was scheduled to come out late fall. The series was about a father daughter duo who faked being agents to solve murders in their spare time.
