NEW LIFE (ONE SHOTS)

Chicken

this 2 months after Louis left for tour and Bella has been in Uni for 1 month and 2 weeks.

There was a knock on my flat door.

"Its open!" I yelled from the kitchen. I heard to door open and close and the sound of running to the kitchen. Becca one of my best friends ran in. Her big smile always brightened the room

"Hey Bells you said we were going out!" she said jumping into the counter

"Yeah we are just waiting for Joe!" not my brother Joe, Joe Sugg we had grown very close as he moved to London not far away from me. We meet up almost every day, Me Becca and Joe. With Becca in almost all of my classes in Uni we have so much fun. Joe still does YouTube and it's great in London for him because it is close to goggle HQ and on the edges of London there is a little thatching company which he works for.

"Ok!" It barley took a couple of seconds before Joe jogged into the room.

"Sup dudetts!" he said giving us both a hug

"Have you got your car?" i asked he nodded

"Great well lets get going!"

"So where are we?" Becca asked as we pulled up at the farm.

"Well with Louis gone i get a bit lonely so i thought hey why don't i get a pet!" i said opening the door and stepping out. Louis left 2 months ago, he was with me when we got the flat and decorated it and stayed for the first 2 weeks when I started Uni but then left for USA and Asia.

"So what are you getting?" joe asked excitedly

"A CHICKEN!"

"oh Jesus Christ!" Becca laughed as well as Joe

"Come on i am soo excited. I wonder what i will get!" i ran to the door of the farm and knocked. A bloke aged about 20ish opened it, with a big crooked smile

"Aye you're the metal girl i spoke to about a chicken!" i laughed

"That's me! so can i take a look?" i asked he nodded

"Follow me!" we followed him trough the farm, past cows, dogs, sheep and cats. We got to a barn and he pushed open the door. I gasped there must have been around 200 chickens in every type you could think of

"Take your pick!" i glanced and Becca and Joe and we ran into the middle looking at each type. There where black ones white ones cockerels and brown ones. Joe held up a white one with fluffy feet

"What about this chick?" he asked i shook my head

"I want a bog standard one. Like brown and red!" i looked around and then i saw it. It was much smaller than the others. Its yellow feathers where just about to leave red and brown replacing it. I sneaked over and picked it up. This was the one.

"I'll have this one please" i said smiling

"Are you sure. She's a little small!" the farmer boy asked i nodded

"Well so am i. how much?"

"Well for this little un only £15" i handed him the money and turned to Becca

"Run to the car, there is box for her" I told Becca. She nodded and ran off

"Excuse me but you don't have any turf do you?"I asked the farmer he nodded

"We have a couple square meters out back" he pointed behind the shed

"I'll help you mate!" Joe said him and the farmer boy disappeared behind closed doors and i turned to then chicken

"Hey there. I'm going to look after you. Your daddy Louis isn't here at the moment but I'm sure he will love you"

"Bella you could help!" Joe shouted from the balcony. Me and Herbert where sitting on the sofa and i was feeding her bread

"But i need bonding time with Herbert!" i said stroking her head

"I can't believe you called her that!" Becca said i giggled

"It's a cute name. Ok Herbie you follow me we are making your home!" i went to the balcony where Joe had planted the grass in a bug tub thing and we where now making the house for her there is another one inside for when it's cold.

"It looks like you got it all sorted out!" i said pointing to the built little wooden house

"Well you need to sort put the bedding and food stuff!" Joe said. I pulled out all the stray filling the box up so she will be warm. I filled up a cute little water trough and food bowl

"Herbie come and see!" the chicken waddled over and pecked at the grass. I placed her in the box she snuggled into the straw

"Is that cute or is that cute?"I asked we laughed together

"It is quite cute!" Becca said

"We are going to have so much fun

LOUIS POV (a week later)

I knocked on the door. I have the Keys but i wanted to surprise my Bellybear. I have been away in tour for  months now and we don't get much time to talk with time changes and she is so busy with Uni. I have missed her loads

"herbie stay there i need to get the door" i heard her say. Herbie what hell she better not have had a child or what is she was with another guy

"Boobear?" her voice pulled me away from worry, he body soon latched around mine

"hey baby!" i said softly in her ear, kissing her on the lips, so much passion we hadn't seen each other in ages. a peck on my foot made me pull away

"What the fuck? i asked almost dropping Bella "you have a bird in the flat?" i asked shocked

"No that's Herbert my chicken?" she said jumping down and picking up the small chicken

"I got a bit lonely so me Becca and Joe went to get her about a months ago!" she said stroking its head

"It's a girl?" i asked "called Herbert?"

"I wanted something different!"she said. She was strange but i loved her

"You better not name our children something like that" i joked Kissing her cheek and stroking the new addition to our family
