I was just an egg when I was stolen from the Nightwing kingdom,of course,no one cared about me because I was from the rural area, except for my mother. It all started on a chilly night, when my mother was asleep, her tail wrapped around me.She then awoke to look at me,her beige eyes sparkling with delight.
"I can't wait until you hatch, little one." She whispered, nosing my egg gently."So I can name and nurture you."She continued.
The wind blew inside the dark cave,as my mother sighed and turned her head. She then put her head down, closing her eyes, and went to sleep.I jumped, trying to get my egg closer to her.She felt me and turned her ears pricked.Pulling me closer I could feel her warm breath, through the shell.I jumped again,as she pulled me a little closer, until I was touching her chest.
"Don't you worry little one,I'm right here."She murmured, looking out into the far distance.
I felt her chest scales against my egg, they were soft, feather soft.I knew she was a Nightwing, due to the fact I was a purebred.Except,I didn't know my father. He wasn't around and my mother never spoke of him, ever. The only thing she told me about my family was I had a sister and four brothers, also a half sister. As she went to sleep, her warmth died, and I was left feeling cold.My egg shivered,as I squeaked, but she didn't hear me.
Suddenly,I felt a weird icy smell coming from the cave,I guessed it was the wind,so I ignored it.I could hear my mother's soft snoring sounds with a mix of claw steps.Out of nowhere,I felt icy talons grab my egg.I squeaked in fear.I wriggled my egg to get free, but the talons only closed tighter. The talons carried me outside, unnoticed and unheard.Suddenly,I felt wind gush on me,as I knew we were going to take flight. We were up in the air in a second,I could feel the warmth of the sunrise, which would wake my mother up.I could hear flaps of wings, signaling it was a dragon, but I didn't know what type. The dragon propelled faster into the air, suddenly I could hear my mother's screaming.I knew she was searching for me but I didn't screech back and her screaming died away as we hurled into the distance.
