— "You say space will make it better, and time will make it heal. I won't be lost forever and soon I wouldn't feel like I'm haunted, falling." —
A simple sunny afternoon had come around one day after Catherine had gotten off work. It was a beautiful afternoon, she couldn't deny that. She had sent a text to her boyfriend, Henry, to tell him that she was headed home. They didn't live together, but they had talked about it. It was a constant conversation they had every moment they were together. Catherine had been given the chance of a lifetime with Henry. They'd been together for four years and eight months so far, before she'd ever met Henry, her entire life felt as if it crumbled and broke each second she breathed. She was close to the end, that was until Henry stepped into her life and brought her back into the light of things. Happiness filled the young woman's home again. Catherine had lost her parents a year before she'd met Henry, and that was the beginning of her biggest downfall. Both were lost to the deepest and hardest battles of their lives. Cancer. It tore Catherine to pieces to lose them, for the longest of times, she'd stayed with them and lived in their home, but since their deaths, she'd gotten her own apartment to be away from her childhood home in Italy.
Henry lived in France, the two connected to each other by text, and calls, video chats when they could, and then they each took turns to fly out to one another. This time, it was Henry's turn. Henry had read his girlfriend's text and smiled at it. She always told him when she was headed home, when she got home, when she left to go to work or to the store. It was the point to say that she was still alive, well and wanting him, in hopes of one day living with him. Henry had texted her back to tell her that he was headed away from home, but he left out the fact that he was heading towards her. He made it to his plane on time, with his luggage in hand and a ring box in his pocket, he made it on the plane to head to Italy to see his beautiful girlfriend. Henry's job was thankfully, quite flexible. If he needed to be away for months at a time, like a time such as this, he would still get paid for it, regardless of where in the world he was, which made it easier for him to go and see Catherine.
When his plane landed in Florence, Italy, he took a photo of the airport's flight schedule, the one that showed 'Florence, Italy to –..' And he sent it to her, with a message saying, 'Guess where I am, my beautiful darling.' He awaited her reply, which when he received it, all he read from her text was the 'OMG'. The rest was scrambled letters, that showed just how excited his Italian baby was. He texted back and smiled as he did so.

Henry had made it to Catherine's home as soon as possible, and he ended up with an armful of his girlfriend the moment the door was opened after he knocked. "Oh, baby, I didn't know you missed me that much." He kissed her neck softly, Catherine was too into his scent upon his neck to pay attention to what he was saying, that was until she felt his kiss. "Hmm? Oh, yes, of course I did, baby. I hate living life without you here." She whispered softly to him, a pout on her lips. He smiled and kissed her pout away. "Well, let's just say, you'll enjoy these next few months, because I'm going to be here with you. I'm not leaving for a while." And with those words, he heard her squeal at the top of her lungs and she buried her face into his neck, holding tightly onto him.
The entire night long was spent catching up with each other and laughing about things together. They also spent their entire night making love, without protection, and enjoying each other's company until the early hours of the morning. Catherine was still laying in her boyfriends arms when her alarm clock went off. A soft sigh escaped her lips and she kissed his, before slipping out of his arms and their little blanket fort upon her bed. She enjoyed this time with him, even with barely any sleep, she still felt energised to get through her entire day.
The next few months were spent with happiness being filled in Catherine's home once more, it became an even happier environment when Henry was there. Love was in the air. In the last week of Henry's stay, Catherine had been waking up feeling sick and nauseous. She put it off as if it were nothing. Henry had proposed a month ago, and life couldn't have gotten any better than it was right then. Catherine only thought that she was coming down with a slight stomach flu, the possibility of pregnancy didn't even cross her mind. The night that Henry had go back to France, Catherine spent the last few hours of their time with him in bed, and then she took him to the airport, telling him goodbye, but not forever. They still had their wedding to plan, and they would surely be doing that in the next few months. They would also decide whether they wanted to live in Italy together or France together. Truly, Catherine would hate to part herself away from Italy, but for Henry, she'd do absolutely everything. After saying their goodbyes, and Catherine had watched the plane take off, she went home, saddened, yet happy regardless, because of the last few months spent with her future husband.
Once home, Catherine was hit with a huge wave of nausea that sent her to the bathroom. She finally threw up this time. Morning sickness, something was certainly out of the ordinary for her. She went to the nearest drugstore that she could find and bought five pregnancy tests, before heading back home. She planned on taking them the moment she woke up that morning, and so she fell asleep nauseously, but she slept fine other than her stomach feeling all icky. When the first sun rays of the morning shone through Catherine's curtains, she awoke, and gently sat up to make her way to the bathroom. She sat down and sighed, grabbing a tiny cup, she peed into it before opening three of the tests, she followed the instructions on them and dipped them into cup, she then laid each one out and waited. Five minutes later, her results showed — all three said 'positive'. Closing her eyes, she took in a gentle deep breath. Three pregnancy tests said positive, just to be safe, she took the last two. They turned up the same way. Taking a photo of all of them together, she sent it to Henry, with a text.
