taehyung chooses his bed, the one closer to the exit, while jungkook is left with the one beside the window. he doesn't mind, in fact, he's glad he has that bed, it's as if he's in his own corner where no one can disturb him.

"so, do you wanna eat anything?" taehyung asks, as he lays down on his bed, one leg on top of the other.

"after eating all those pizzas? no thanks." jungkook replies. taehyung smiles at his response; that was probably the most he has spoken all day.

"so, what do you wanna do?" taehyung continues to quiz him. now jungkook lays on his bed, faces the window and rolls his eyes.

why doesn't he just leave me alone? he thinks.

"nothing, i want to sleep, goodnight." jungkook answers, pulling his duvet up so high, that only the very top of this head was visible.

"you can't just sleep, let me get to know you." taehyung practically shouts. he's slightly upset over how jungkook is treating him; he just wants to know him more, how much harm can that cause?

"look, if you want to know me, i hate talking to people, if that isn't a clue to what i'm trying to say, then i don't know what is." jungkook spits, full of hurt and anger. he's confused about why someone wants to know him, he thinks it's another prank of taehyung's, which is ridiculous, but that's been his mindset since childhood. he's very insecure.

"okay. i'm sorry, goodnight."

that's that. jungkook is confused by taehyung's apology. why is he apologising? he didn't do anything wrong. it's me who's being a stuck up brat.

"hey..." jungkook, surprisingly offers a new conversation. taehyung slowly turns around facing jungkook; they look at each other for five seconds before speaking. "i'm sorry."

"it's okay, i shouldn't have forced you to talk, i'm just too persistent." taehyung fiddles with his fingers, as he apologises again.

"at least you're persistent, i give up when i get the chance." jungkook jokes, trying to lighten the mood a bit. it works.

"i'm jeon jungkook and i am incredibly insecure, what about you?" jungkook finally starts. taehyung frowns, however, continues with the kind gesture, while he's still talking.

"i'm kim taehyung and i want to get to know jeon jungkook," he tries to play it smooth; jungkook freezes, then lets out a long sigh, as if it was being held in for a long period of time.

"no offence, seriously, but why? what's so good about me that you need to know more?" jungkook sits up, talking to his hands that are on his lap. taehyung now sits up and unknowingly copies his posture.

"i just feel bad about not knowing what to do to cheer you up, you looked miserable half the time we spent having fun, you seemed off and i couldn't help but feel i was making you feel worse," taehyung explains in one breath. jungkook raises his eyebrows, while he looks at a fragile taehyung, which he didn't think he could be. jungkook stands up and sits beside taehyung.

"it's not your fault, it's mine. i should've introduced myself somehow, even if i am a shy piece of shit, don't blame yourself, yeah?" jungkook says, and naturally his hand reaches taehyung's back to comfort him; that's the thing about jungkook. no matter how awkward a situation may be, his motherly love still remains.

"thanks," taehyung smiles and jolts around to sit with his legs crossed on the bed. "so, tell me about yourself, like what makes you happy?" he asks, as jungkook mirrors his posture too.

"well, i like to take pictures; that makes me quite happy. uhm, i like being indoors all day or travelling non-stop, there's no in between. food makes me happy, especially homemade stuff, and yeah, that's about it." jungkook lists, hesitantly, scared of trusting someone else with his personal information, other than jin.

"to be honest, that's me summed up, but i guess i'm more outgoing?" taehyung suggests, which jungkook then vigorously nods to. they both giggle and continue sharing information.

"i honestly don't feel the need to ask you what you're like because jin hyung is always on about you guys, especially you and jimin." jungkook jokes, making taehyung raise his brows.

"seems like jin hyung has a crush on me, or should i say jin daddy?"

"no! what the hell? let's stop right there. he does not like you like that, trust me." jungkook laughs at taehyung's dirty suggestion.

"what a shame," taehyung winks, making jungkook laugh rather uncomfortably.

"anyway, from what i've heard, you're quite weird." jungkook tries to not sound offensive.

"weird? me? well that's a matter of opinion isn't it, i'm not just going to call myself weird." taehyung says, quite defensively, making jungkook stifle a laugh under his breath.

"there's nothing wrong with being weird, it's actually kind of cute," jungkook says, which makes taehyung blush, but he doesn't know why.

"so, what do you want to do tomorrow?" taehyung asks, in order to move on from how flustered he's currently feeling. the room suddenly feels warmer, and it is noticeable in both of the boys' faces, as they have turned redder. jungkook begins to fan himself, and as that attempt of staying cool fails, he takes off his hoodie, revealing his tiny yet toned body. taehyung's jaw drops unexpectedly, making things even hotter than it already was. jungkook really didn't want to take his hoodie off, but the heat forced him to.

"well, whatever you guys are doing, i guess," jungkook finally replies. taehyung comes back to earth when he realises jungkook just spoke; he picks up his jaw and stammers before replying.

"no, i asked what you want to do, not what plan you want to agree to, so tell me."

"it'll be boring, but i really want to take pictures around the city, you guys can go ahead without me, i'll make it back to the hotel myself since i won't be going that far." jungkook replies, playing with his thumbs; it's his way of dealing with his insecure moments. taehyung notices.

"we're going to do just that! besides, the guys love taking pictures, trust me on this one, and we need namjoon hyung to help us with language and all, so you're not allowed to be on your own, okay?" taehyung says in a hurry, as he wants jungkook to feel reassured that he'll be safer with the group, rather than on his own.

"okay, okay! anyway, it's late, we should sleep now, i mean, if we want an early start for tomorrow," jungkook advises, which taehyung agrees to happily.

jungkook goes to his bed and faces the wall, while taehyung turns off the lamp in between them. taehyung stares at the ceiling and wonders what it is about jungkook that makes him want to know more. similarly, jungkook feels that the end of this day is better than he expected; taehyung turned out to be a very relatable person and someone he feels the need to blindly trust. he feels comfortable around him, once he got to know him, which makes him think that if he talked to other people more often, maybe he'd feel the same about them too, or maybe it's just taehyung's personality that makes him feel at home.

either way, taehyung is someone jungkook feels safe around; he feels as if he's finally found a new friend.
