She laughed again. "Hogwarts? That's so stupid. I bet my sister put you up to this." Severus faltered. He wasn't expecting this. "No. Your sister is not behind this. Tomorrow, you will get a letter from Hogwarts. I will see you on September first." He turned to leave. "Wait! Your serious?" "I just turned a leaf into a butterfly. Of course I'm serious." "Can we meet here tomorrow?" He froze. She stood watching and waiting. "Sure. See you tomorrow." Then he left.

When he got home, he smelled dinner. "Severus? Is that you?" his mum asked. "Yes, mum." came his reply. "Where have you been? Your father just left to got look for you." "I was at the park like you said." She sighed. "Well, now that your here you can help make dinner." He started peeling carrots. "Mother," he asked,"Do you know the muggle family that live a block from the park?" "No, why?" "No reason."

The next day, after running from the house with the owl, he stopped when he got to the park. He released the owl after he took the letter. It had the Hogwarts emblem on it. Hew as trying to decide whether or not to wait for Lily, when she came up behind him. "Hello!" she said. He jumped. "Oh. Hey! I see you received your letter." "Yep! Let's open them!" "Ok!" Then the boy tore into his letter. It said the following:
