"Kid."

"Hey, kid!"

"Christ, what the hell are you dead?"

"Huh, what?" Joey shot up, eyes wide. It wasn't dark anymore, he could now see the small room he was in. It was a bit like a old jail, the cage he sat in had long, tall bars on the front, left and right and behind him, a wall.

The cage he sat in was in the corner of the room, the only thing in this room being being a chair and a door that was closed and- what the hell, is that a man?

Joey blinked twice, it was definitely a man.

"Hey, can you hear me? I'm talking to you."

The tall man was standing in front of him, right behind the bars. He peered down at Joey and sighed "Are you deaf?"

"Wha- no I can hear you."

"Finally, he speaks!" The man chuckled darkly, "Stand up."

Oh, so he thinks he's in charge. Joey's face twisted into a frown and he scoffed "Since when do I take orders from you?"

"Who's the one locked in the cell?"

Joey didn't say anything.

"That's what I thought, keep that snappy mouth of yours shut."

Joey squinted his eyes and looked up at the man. He was tall, but maybe that was because Joey was sitting down.

"Stand. Up."

Yeah, right.

"Make me."

The tall man sighed, he was obviously getting frustrated. Joey smirked at the thought.

"I am not in the mood right now." He spat at Joey.

The man produced a set of keys from his pocket and fiddled with, what Joey assumed was, a lock on the other side of the bars. Oh shit.

The door was thrown forward, hitting Joey, as he was grabbed by his shirt collar and dragged upwards; all in one swift motion.

He was now so close to the mans face, he could feel his breath hit his forehead, "When I tell you to do something, you do it."

Joey knew he had made a mistake, this guy was taller and stronger than him and he had pissed him off.

"Understand?"

Joey nodded slowly, "Y-yes." Damnit, he tried to prevent his voice from shaking but it happened anyway.

The man smirked at him "Yes what?"

"What?"

"Yes, sir. You're gonna call me sir since I'm in charge."

Um, what the hell. "Fuck no!" Joey yelled, "Who the hell do you think you are?"

The man reached down and grabbed a fist-full of Joeys hair so he could force his head upwards. "What did I say?"

"Ow, stop!"

"What did I say?"

"Get off me you fucking creep!" Joey flailed his arms and managed to land a blow across the man's face. He stumbled backwards and Joey made a run for it.

Joey tried to dash behind him and get through the door but the man simply blocked Joey with a single arm and threw the boy back.

"I can see this is gonna be harder than expected."
