When Jake pulled into my drive way I didn't know what to say so we sat there in silence until he spoke up. "Are you okay?" He asked. "I'm fine." I replied silently. I opened my door and started walking to the front door, I knew Jake was following me. "I really don't want to talk about it with him. I can't tell him I have the biggest crush on his drummer! But on the other hand I hate lying to him." I thought to myself. When we got into the house we both sat on the couch and I grabbed the remote and flipped through the channels. This was awkward. "Do you like him?" Jake asked me. "Who?" I said. I knew exactly who he was talking about.
"Kevin, do you like Kevin?" He asked me. "No of course not Jake." I lied. "It's okay if you do." Jake said. "Jake I don't like him I promise." God I hate lying to him. He didn't say anything back so I knew the conversation was over. A few minutes later I got up and told him I needed to take a shower. "All right, I'll be here." He replied.
"Do you want to do something today?" Jake asked me when I walked back into the room 20 minutes later. "I have alot of stuff to get ready before we go on tour." I replied. I kinda just wanted him to leave. "Ugh Annie stop overreacting about this! Jake didn't do anything wrong, Kevin probably forgot about what happened by now anyway! Stop acting weird, go out and have fun with Jake." I mentally pep talked myself. "Actually ya know what let's do something, wanna go bowling?' I asked him with a smile. "Yeah of course." He replied clearly happy that my bad attitude was gone.
For the next 3 hours Jake and I bowled and let me tell you, we sucked. "Wanna go to in-and-out burger?" Jake asked when we got into the car. I looked at the time on my phone it was 4pm. We had skipped lunch so I was starving. We arrived at the fast food joint and Jake and I ordered. Once again we argued about who paid for dinner. In the end Jake ended up paying.
"So you excited for the tour to start!" Your gonna be livin that tour life!" Jake had asked once we arrived at his house. I laughed, "Of course I am!" I love spending time with you Jake." I told him. "Same." He replied. "I think you should spend more time with Madison though, I'm going to see you everyday, she's not." I said to him. "I know, were going out tomorrow, don't worry, I know how to care for my girl." He replied laughing. I threw a pillow at him. "I'm going to bed Jake. Goodnight." I smiled at him then layed down. He was on his Mac probably doing more stuff about the tour. He was so excited for this, I'm love seeing him this happy. He's my best friend, his dreams came true and I couldn't be more proud of him. Before I knew it I fell asleep.
