Stanley sat in Ginny’s room picking at her faded nail polish, and jumped when she heard Starkiller yell.
“STANLEY! COME HERE!”
“What?” Stanley said, joining Starkiller at the window. Starkiller didn’t say anything, she just pointed to the group down below, which consisted of the twins and Lee.
“Nope, nope, nope,” Stanley said, turning away from the window.
“Come on,” Starkiller said. “You’ll have to talk to him at some point.”
“I know,” Stanley said. “And if I don’t, the twins will force me.”
“Let’s go,” Starkiller said, pulling Stanley towards the door. The two walked down the stairs, and went outside to join the trio.
“Hello, girls.” Lee said, glancing at Stanley.
“Hey,” Starkiller said, nudging Stanley
“Hi,” Stanley said to him.
“So, how was your summer?” Starkiller asked Lee.
“Great, but I’m mostly excited about the Quidditch report going into the Daily Prophet.” he answered. Stanley grinned.
“Me too,” she said, displaying the same enthusiasm.
“Hey Fose,” George said. “I think Mum is calling for us.”
“Yeah, I think she is,” Starkiller smirked. “See you later Lee.”
“Bye, Fose and George!” Lee teased them. Stanley glared at them.
“How was your summer?” Lee asked Stanley.
“Good, I mean most of it was spent moving and unpacking,” Stanley told him. The two stayed quiet, not knowing what to say.
“Want to go see what everyone else is up too?” Lee said, breaking the silence.
“Sure,” Stanley said relieved that the awkward atmosphere was dissolving. Lee and Stanley walked into the kitchen to see the twins, and Starkiller at the table.
“Oh, hey guys,” Starkiller said, glancing at Stanley. “What’s up?”
“We just came to see what you guys were up to,” Lee said, taking a seat next to George while Stanley took one next to Starkiller.
“So,” Fred said. Looking around at the table. “Quidditch anyone?”
...
“Well, I’m going inside, Donna,” Starkiller said, pulling Stanley with her. “Bye!”
“That was so a muggle thing,” George said.
“I agree,” Lee said, sitting next to him. “Those two are mad.”
Stanley followed Starkiller to the kitchen, and sat down at the table.
“Is there a main reason why you pulled me in here?” Stanley asked.
“Yes,” Starkiller said. “Well...?”
“Well what?” Stanley asked, confused.
“How did it go?”
“With Lee?” Stanley asked, ignoring Starkiller’s glare. “What were you expecting?”
“Fireworks in the sky that said, STANLEY IS NOW IN A RELATIONSHIP, or something like that,” Starkiller shrugged.
“Well I can tell you that there’s nothing going on,” Stanley said, getting a glass of water.
“One of you seriously needs to grow a pair,” Starkiller shook her head.
