"I haven't a clue, I'm sorry Christina" James said as he examined the strange stone."I thought as much" she replied, sighing softly. "I couldn't find anything on the Internet"
"It's beautiful, maybe anew type of jewel?" James replied.
"I doubt it professor, I found it in an old box that's older than me, it couldn't be that new" Christina replied.
"Chrissy, whys it warm?" Mark startled her and she looked as he gently touched it, but he let out a yelp and removed his hand, tears pricking his eyes. "I-it hurt me!"
"It didn't hurt me" Christina said and gently touched it, but only felt warmth. "That's weird"
"Let me try" James said and touched it, but after five seconds pulled away with a small cry. He held his wrist and Christina felt her jaw drop seeing a burn mark.
"H-how?" She barely asked over a whisper.
"It seems it's not a stone, almost like it's alive. It reacts positively to Christina, she is the only one that can handle it" James explained and Christina picked it up.
"Professor, a lot when I'm around it, it feels like something inside me is pulling to the stone and I get a weird feeling in my stomach" Christina explained as she held the stone close and sat down.
"It's very strange, it can't be a stone, but until I know what it is, I'll have to call it a stone. On Monday, bring it back and I'll look into it more, until then have a good weekend" James told them as he wrote somethings down.
"Yes sir" Mark and Christina said, giving mock salutes and marching out with silly grins. James laughed and they returned the laughs before going outside.
The one thing Christina was wondering though confused her: why do I want to protect this with my life?
